1 Scope
This standard specifies classification and code, order contents, size, shape and weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as packaging, marking and quality certificate of quality carbon structure steel bars.
This standard is applicable to the hot-rolled and forged quality carbon structure steel bars with nominal diameter or thickness not greater than 250mm. The hot-rolled and forged quality carbon structure steel bars with the nominal diameter or thickness greater than 250mm may also be provided basing on the agreement of both the Supplier and the Purchaser.
The grade and chemical composition specified in this standard are also applicable to steel ingot, steel billet, steel products with other sections and their products.
