1 Scope
This standard specifies the manual sampling and determinative technical method of particulates and gaseous pollutant in the flue gas emitted from stationary sources such as flue, chimney and exhaust funnel, as well as the monitoring methods of portable instruments. Corresponding requirements are made for the preparation of flue gas monitoring of stationary source, the determination of flue gas emission parameters, the sampling and determination methods of particulates and gaseous pollutants in exhaust, and the quality assurance of monitoring, etc.
It is applicable to environmental monitoring stations at all levels, industrial and enterprise environmental monitoring professional institutions and environmental scientific research departments, etc. to carry out emission monitoring of flue gas pollutant of stationary source, environmental protection acceptance monitoring for completion of construction projects, treatment effect of pollution prevention facilities, verification monitoring of continuous flue gas emission monitoring system, and research monitoring of clean production technology and pollution prevention technology, etc.
2 Normative references
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies.

3 Term and definition
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 pollution source
facilities or building structures (such as workshops) that emit air pollutants
3.2 stationary source
flue gas pollution source emitted into the air through exhaust funnels after being generated by boilers as coal-fired, oil-fired, gas-fired and industrial furnaces as well as during production process of petrochemical industry metallurgy, building materials, etc.
3.3 particulates
solid and liquid particulate matters suspended in emission gas after being generated by combustion, synthesis, decomposition of fuels and other substances as well as by the mechanical handling of various materials
