Emission standard of pollutants for battery industry
1 Applicable scope
This standard specifies the emission limits, monitoring requirements of water and air pollutants of battery [including zinc manganese battery (paste-lined cell, paper-lined cell, laminated cell, alkaline zinc manganese battery), zinc air battery, silver zinc battery, lead acid battery, nickel cadmium battery, nickel-metal hydride battery, lithium ion battery, lithium cell and solar cell] industry facilities, and the implementation and supervision of standards and other relevant regulations.
This standard is applicable to the water and air pollutant emission management of the battery industry facility or the production facility, the environmental impact assessment of facility construction project, the design of environment protection facilities, environmental protection completion acceptance, and the water and air pollutant emission management after the battery is put into production.
This standard is applicable to the legal pollutant emission behaviors. The site selection of the newly-set pollution source and the management of the current pollution source in special protected areas shall be subject to the relevant provisions of laws, regulations and rules such as Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution, Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, Law of the People's Republic of China on Maritime Environmental Protection, Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution Caused by Solid Waste and Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment.
The discharge control requirements of water pollutants specified in this standard are applicable to the behaviors of the enterprises discharging water pollutants, directly or indirectly, out of their legal boundaries.
