1 Scope
This chapter is applicable to Food contact plastic materials and articles , including unvulcanized thermoplastic elastomer materials and products.
2 Terminologies and Definitions
2.1 Plastic material
The polymer material of certain shape, between resin and plastic articles, processed under certain temperature and pressure, with one or several kinds of resin or prepolymer as the main structural constituent, with or without additive, including plastic particle (or section), master batch and sheet material, etc.
2.2 Plastic article
The finished product with certain shape after forming, with plastic resin or plastic material as the raw material, with or without additive.
2.3 Master batch
The condensation product which is produced by attaching the plastic additives (e.g. colorant, filler, fiber and stabilizer) affecting the physical characteristics of plastic materials and articles to one or several kinds of resins, and may be processed into other plastic materials and final product by mixing with resin or granulars.
3 Basic Requirements
Food contact plastic materials and articles shall meet the requirements of GB 4806.1.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 Raw material requirements
The application of resin in food contact plastic materials and articles shall meet those specified in GB 4806.6 and relevant announcement.
