This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 18102-2007 Laminate Flooring in whole. In addition to a number of editorial changes, the following technical deviations have been made with respect to the GB/T 18102-2007:
— the categories and requirements of non-planar laminate floor coverings and laminate floor coverings for ground with heating system are added (see Clauses 4, 5 and 6);
— commercial laminate floor coverings are modified to commercial levels I and II (see 4.1; 4.1 of Edition 2007);
— Classification by abrasion resistance (see 4.5 of Edition 2007) and classification by formaldehyde emission (see 4.6 of Edition 2007) are deleted;
— the requirements and inspection methods of locking force and surface resistance to water vapour are added to the requirements of planar laminate floor coverings (see 5.4.1, 6.3.15 and 6.3.18);
— the index of density, and the class and index of formaldehyde emission are modified (see 5.4.1; 5.4 of Edition 2007);
— in the provisions of planar laminate floor coverings, the thickness swelling rate of water absorption is adjusted, the performance indexes of surface bonding strength and abrasion resistance are set according to the purpose, and the corresponding indexes are modified (see 5.4.1; 5.4 of Edition 2007);
— the requirements of static bending strength of planar laminate floor coverings are deleted (see 5.4 of Edition 2007).
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. The issuing body of this document shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This standard was proposed by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee 198 on Wood-based Panels Standardization of China (SAC/TC 198).
The previous editions of this standard are as follows:

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 18259-2018, GB/T 28995 and the following apply. For the convenience of application, some terms and definitions specified in GB/T 18259-2018 are listed below.
3.1
laminate floor coverings
floor coverings formed by the simultaneous action of heat and pressure, with a surface layer consisting of one or more layers of special papers, impregnated with thermosetting amino resin and bonded on a substrate such as particleboard, high density fibreboard and other wood-based panels, usually finished with a backing used as a balancing layer and a special paper finishing used as wearing layer.
Note 1: The laminate floor coverings with a trade mark name of reinforced wood floor.
Note 2: The wearing layer includes wear-resisting surface film paper or wear-resisting material coated layer.
3.2
frosting mark
nontransparent white flake present on the product surface.
Note: Modified from GB/T 18259-2018, Definitions 3.4.68.
3.3
water mark
vaporific trace on the surface of the product
Note: Modified from GB/T 18259-2018, Definitions 3.4.69.
3.4
Spots, dirt and similar surface defects
dirt in raw paper, ink stain produced during printing, and decorative defects caused by debris during processing
Note: Modified from GB/T 18259-2018, Definitions 3.4.72.
