Handbag and Knapsack
1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage of handbag and knapsack.
This standard is applicable to various handbags and knapsacks for daily life. Handbags and knapsacks with special purposes may also make reference to this standard.

3 Product Classification
3.1 Classification by variety (surface material):
——leather handbags and knapsacks;
——handbags and knapsacks of artificial leather/synthetic leather ;
——handbags and knapsacks of recycled leather;
——fabric handbags and knapsacks;
——fur handbags and knapsacks;
——handbags and knapsacks of various fabrics;
——handbags and knapsacks of other materials.
3.2 Classification by type (structure):
——knapsacks with various shoulder straps;
——handbags with various carrying handles;
——handbags and knapsacks with various shoulder straps and carrying handles.
4 Requirements
4.1 Raw materials and accessories
They shall be selected in accordance with relevant product standard.
4.1.1 Limits of hazardous substances
Limits of hazardous substances in leather, fur and reclaimed leather shall meet the requirements of GB 20400 and Table 1; limits of hazardous substances in polyvinyl chloride-based artificial leather shall meet the requirements of GB 21550; limits of hazardous substances in adhesives for bags and suitcases shall meet the requirements of Table 2.

4.1.2 Locks
Locks shall meet the requirements of QB/T 1586.1 or relevant product standards.
4.1.3 Magnetic buckles
Magnetic buckles shall meet the requirements of GB 5085.
4.1.4 Zippers
Zippers shall meet the requirements of QB/T2171, QB/T2172, QB/T173 and other relevant standards.
4.1.5 Hardware fitting
Hardware fitting shall meet the requirements of QB/T2002.1 and QB/T20024.2.
4.2 Appearance quality
Appearance quality shall meet those specified in Table 3.

d) Fur: fur is basically smooth, loose and clean, no crochet, no obvious hair loss, oily hair, knot hair; strong dyeing, no floating colour, no obvious colour, colour difference (except special effects) and other defects;
e) Other materials: no defect affecting normal use
3 Lining fabric Flat, smooth, upright, tidy and clean; free of defects like broken face, broken warp, broken weft, skipped yarn, broken roll and puffed selvedge
4 Stitching thread The stitching thread suitable to the applied shell fabric and lining quality shall be selected; its quality shall be adapt to all parts
5 Stitch of stitching thread The upper and lower thread fit, the stitches are straight and flat, and the stitch length is uniform. No empty stitch, drop stitch and skipping stitch are allowed on the front large-area surface and front cover of handbags and knapsacks. There shall be no stitch skew of more than 15mm long. Empty stitch, drop stitch and skipping stitch in single product shall not be greater than one respectively; empty stitch, drop stitch and skipping stitch shall not be greater than 2 stitches respectively.
6 Zippers Stitching shall be straight and flat with consistent edge distance; the pull-off shall be smooth and free from mismatch, teeth falling and decoloration.
7 Accessories Bright; free of rust, skipped coating and burr; free of peeling and shattering
8 Installation of accessories Flat and smooth and firm
9 Standard sample a the standard sample attached to the product shall be made of the same material with the main handbag and knapsack
a Standard sample refers to the sample attached to the product to indicate the main material. This item is not inspected for the product without standard sample.
4.3 Physical and mechanical properties
Physical and mechanical properties shall meet those specified in Table 4.

4.4 Inside bags
If the package supplied with the product has a completely separate structure, components (with handles and/or straps) and functions, and can be used separately as a handbag and knapsack, it shall be inspected separately and in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 4; otherwise it only needs to comply with 4.1.1.
