1 Application Scope
1.1 This standard specifies main technical indexes, testing items, installation positions, testing method, acceptance method, routine operation management, routine operation quality warranty, data audit and formats of data report of CEMS for particular matters, CEMS for gaseous pollutants (including SO2 and NOx) and Continuous Monitoring Systems (CMS) for related emission parameters (such as oxygen content) in Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) of flue gas emitted from stationary sources.
1.2 This standard is applicable to CEMS of stationary sources such as thermal power plant boilers, industrial/civil boilers and industrial furnaces and kilns with solid and liquid as fuel or raw material.
1.3 This standard may serve as a reference for CEMS of domestic waste incinerators, hazardous waste incinerators, and stationary sources with gas as fuel or raw materials.

3 Terms and Definitions
3.1
Continuous Emission Monitoring
continuous and real-time tracking and measurement of pollutants emitted from stationary sources; the total measurement hours of each stationary source shall not be less than 75% of the total operating hours of boilers and kiln; the measurement time per hour shall not be less than 45min.
3.2
Normal Operation of CEMS of Stationary Source
operation within the specified validity period and in compliance with technical index requirements given in this standard, excluding, however, the operation in the case of detector contamination, instrument failure, system calibration and verification or system’s failure to regular calibration or verification.
