GB 15208 consists of the following five parts under the general title Micro-dose X-ray security inspection system:

This is Part 2 of GB 15208.
This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 15208.2-2006 Micro-dose X-ray security inspection system - Part 2: Test block. The following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 15208.2-2006:

Micro-dose X-ray security inspection system - Part 2: Transmission baggage security inspection system
1 Scope
This part of GB 15208 specifies the general technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, storage, transportation and accompanied technical documents of transmission baggage security inspection system.
This part is applicable to the design, manufacturing, assembling, acceptance and service of various transmission baggage security inspection systems.
Note: for the entrance of any inspection channel of this system, either the height or width of the entrance section is less than 1.1m.
This part is not applicable to X-ray security inspection system like computed tomography (CT), electron accelerator or X-ray generating device with energy greater than 500keV.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 15208.1-2018 and the followings apply.

capability of the system in differentiating single solid-core copper wires

4 General technical requirements
4.1 Performance indexes
4.1.1 General
For a transmission baggage security inspection system (hereinafter referred to as system) with multiple transmission views, the performance index of any view shall meet the requirements of 4.1, and the worst value of each test result of each view is taken as the performance index of the system; for a system with multiple inspection channels, the performance index of any inspection channel shall meet the requirements of 4.1, and the worst value of each test result of each inspection channel is taken as the performance index of the system. When the tests specified in 4.1.2~4.1.11 are performed, the parameters of X-ray generating device such as tube voltage, tube current and total filtration shall be unchanged.
4.1.2 Wire display
It shall be able to differentiate the requirements for minimum diameter of single solid-core copper wire, as detailed in Table 1.

4.1.3 Useful penetration resolution
It shall be able to differentiate the requirements for minimum diameter of single solid-core copper wire under the alloy aluminum steps with a thickness of 9.5mm, 15.9mm or 22.2mm, as detailed in Table 2.

4.1.4 Spatial resolution
It shall be able to differentiate the requirements for minimum diameter of line pair, as detailed in Table 3.

4.1.5 Simple penetration
It shall be able to differentiate the requirements for minimum thickness of steel plate, as detailed in Table 4.

4.1.6 Organic differentiation (applicable to multi-energy system)
It shall be able to differentiate organic steps with thickness range of 1mm~120mm and give orange color at different saturation levels.
4.1.7 Gray level differentiation
It shall be able to differentiate alloy aluminum steps with thickness range of 1mm~60mm and thickness difference of not less than 1mm.
4.1.8 Mixed differentiation (applicable to multi-energy system)
It shall be able to differentiate alloy aluminum steps with thickness range of 1mm~60mm and give green color at different saturation levels.
4.1.9 Inorganic differentiation (applicable to multi-energy system)
It shall be able to differentiate steel steps with thickness range of 0.2mm~14mm and give blue color at different saturation levels.
4.1.10 Material differentiation (applicable to multi-energy system)
It shall be able to differentiate three kinds of material samples with different effective atomic numbers and give green color to PVC plate while orange color to simulant plate and nylon 6 plate.
4.1.11 Useful material differentiation (applicable to multi-energy system)
It shall be able to differentiate three kinds of material samples with different effective atomic numbers, which are located behind 1.5mm-thick, 2.0mm-thick and 2.5mm-thick steel plates, giving green color and blue color respectively; it shall also be able to differentiate 6 areas in the nine areas of test object 10 in test block B, as defined in Annex A.
4.1.12 Conveying device
The following requirements shall be met:
a) the conveying speed under inspection shall be greater than or equal to 0.19m/s;
b) the conveying belt shall run in the forward and reverse directions without deviation:
——the lateral displacement is less than or equal to 5mm within 10min continuous forward operation;
——the lateral displacement is less than or equal to 10mm within 30s continuous reverse operation.
4.2 Radiation and environmental security indexes
4.2.1 Dose per inspection
It shall meet the requirements of 5.2.1, GB 15208.1-2018.
4.2.2 Ambient dose equivalent rate
It shall meet the requirements of 5.2.2, GB 15208.1-2018.
4.2.3 System noise
It shall meet the requirements of 5.2.3, GB 15208.1-2018.
4.3 Operating environment
4.3.1 Operating environment conditions
