1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to reinforcing the quality management of building structure strengthening engineering, unifying the acceptance of construction quality of building structure strengthening engineering and to guaranteeing the engineering quality and security.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the construction process control and construction quality acceptance of the strengthening engineering of concrete structure, masonry structure and steel structure.
1.0.3 The requirements on quality of strengthening engineering as specified in the technical documents and contract agreement of building structure strengthening engineering shall not be less than the requirements of this code.
1.0.4 This code shall be used together with the following current national standards:
1 “Unified Standard for Constructional Quality Acceptance of Building Engineering” (GB 50300);
2 “Code for Acceptance of Constructional Quality of Concrete Structures” (GB 50204);
3 “Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Masonry Engineering” (GB 50203);
4 “Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Steel Structures” (GB 50205).
1.0.5 The construction process control and construction quality acceptance of building structure strengthening engineering not only shall comply with this code and its supporting standards and codes, but also shall comply with those specified in the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terms
2.1 General Terms
2.1.1 Structure strengthening engineering
The bearing structures, members and their relevant portions with insufficient reliability are strengthened or with their internal force adjusted to make them be with adequate security and durability and to keep their applicability as much as possible.
2.1.2 Quality of structure strengthening engineering
It is the characteristic sum reflecting the structure strengthening engineering meets the requirements of current relevant standards or the requirements agreed in the contract, including all the obvious and implicit abilities of structure strengthening engineering in such aspects as the safety performance, endurance quality, functions of use and environmental protection.
2.1.3 Acceptance
Based on the inspection and evaluation on the quality of structure strengthening engineering of the construction organization, the organizations concerned participating in this engineering activity shall jointly carry out sampling re-inspection on the quality of inspection lot, subitem projects, sub-subsection projects and subsection projects; and issue confirmation on whether the quality is qualified or not in written form according to the current relevant standards.
2.1.4 Site inspection
Inspection or examination on the strengthening materials, products, members and accessories, connection pieces, anchoring elements, instruments and equipments entering into the construction site according to the requirements of the relevant standards so as to issue confirmation on whether their quality is qualified or not
2.1.5 Repeat test
All the strengthening materials and products in relation to safety or function, no matter what kind of test certificates they are equipped, shall be carried out with evidential sampling inspection activities on the items stated in the current relevant standards and codes when approaching the construction site.
2.1.6 Lot
The product or material assembly composed of a certain amount of individuals (or bulk cargos) that are produced and constructed under uniform conditions or summarized according to the specified mode.
2.1.7 Inspection lot
The to-be-inspected lot designed for doing the sampling inspection (examination).
2.1.8 Evidential sampling
The field sampling process conducted by the professional personnel of construction organization or testing organization under the supervision of supervision organization or development organization (the owner).
The samples through evidential sampling shall be firstly signed and sealed by the supervisor and then be sent to be tested by the independent testing organization with corresponding qualification.
2.1.9 Dominant item
The inspection items playing a decisive role in the safety, sanitation, environmental protection and public interest of structure strengthening engineering.
2.1.10 General item
Inspection items except for the dominant items.
2.1.11 Existing structure member
The original (existing) member before strengthening.
2.1.12 Substrate
One of the adhered article coated with adhesive or other binding materials. It refers to the adhered existing structure member in structure strengthening engineering. If the existing structure member is made of composite material or combined material, then the substrate refers to the material of the adhered part.
2.2 Material Terms
2.2.1 Structural adhesives
It is the adhesive used for the cementing of bearing structural members to bear the design stress and enviromental effect for a long term. In civil works, due to the limitation of field conditions, the used structural adhesives mainly are the structural adhesives cured at room temperature.
2.2.2 Primer
It is a kind of adhesive cured at room temperature that is with good compatibility and adhesive capacity with the structural adhesives and substrate and is coated on the binding surface of substrate in advance so as to improve the cementing property and prevent the substrate surface from being contaminated or eroded after treatment.
