1 Scope
This standard specifies the test equipment, test methods, data processing and other requirements of personal fall protection systems used for work at heights.
This standard is applicable to the personal fall protection systems used for work at heights.
This standard is not applicable to the personal fall protection systems used for sports and fire fighting industries.

3 Terms and Definitions
3.1
force measuring apparatus
test system, consists of dynamic force sensor, digital display or chart recorder and filter device
3.2
safety space
three-dimensional space located below the working surface, free of any objects that may cause collision and damage to the faller
3.3
deploy distance
vertical distance, after the fall test stops, from the test anchor to the lowest point of the torso dummy in suspension state
3.4
free-fall distance
vertical displacement of harnesses attachment point for connecting of lanyard from the time of falling to the personal fall protection systems braking

twin-tail lanyard
lanyard, consists of two complete ropes and has a non-detachable common end
3.6
torso dummy
humanoid weight that simulates the shape and center of gravity of the user's torso
4 Test Equipment
4.1 Torso dummy
4.1.1 The dimensions and requirements of torso dummy as specified in Figure 1.
4.1.2 The weight of torso dummy shall be (100 ± 1) kg.
4.1.3 The center of gravity of torso dummy shall be (200 ± 25) mm above the lower abdomen.
4.1.4 The outer surface of torso dummy shall be coated with rubber and plastic materials with a thickness of at least 40 mm, and the surface hardness shall be greater than 90 Shore hardness.
