GB/T 3880.1-2023 Wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy plates, sheets and strips for general engineering - Part 1: Technical conditions of delivery
1 Scope
This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificates and purchase orders (or contracts) for wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy plates, sheets and strips for general engineering.
This document is applicable to hot-rolled or cold-rolled plates and sheets (hereinafter referred to as “plates and sheets”) and strips (hereinafter referred to as “strips”) of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy for general engineering.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 8005.1 and GB/T 26492.3 apply.
4 Product classification
4.1 Designations, tempers, dimension, and cogging method
The designations, tempers, thicknesses and cogging methods of the products shall meet those specified in Table 1, and the widths and lengths of the plates and sheets and the widths and the inside diameter of coils of strips shall meet those specified in Table 2. When other designations, tempers, dimensions, or cogging methods are required by the purchaser, they shall be determined by the supplier and the purchaser through negotiation according to the Temper and performance registration form of deformed aluminum and aluminum alloy product, and shall be indicated in the purchase order (or contract).
