1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, quality certificates and order (contract) contents of the aluminium and aluminium alloy sheets and strips used for motor.
This standard is applicable to the aluminium and aluminum alloy sheets (hereinafter referred to as “sheets”) and the aluminium and aluminum alloy strips (hereinafter referred to as “strips”) for motor cover panels, motor body structurals, station wagon skin panels (hereinafter referred to as skin panels).

3 Requirements
3.1 Product classification
3.1.1 Designation, state, dimension and specification
The designations, supply states, dimensions and specifications of the product shall meet those specified in Table 1. Other designations, states, dimensions and specifications, if necessary, shall be determined by the supplier and the purchaser through negotiation and be indicated in the order (contract).

a T4P state is such a state that the product is stabilized at a lower value of strength within a certain period after a solution heat treatment and a special aging treatment.
b T6B state is such a state that the sheets in the T4P state are subjected to a simulated baking treatment.
3.1.2 Surface processing methods and surface treatment methods
The product is classified into 2 types according to the surface processing methods (see Table 2) and 4 types according to the surface treatment methods (see Table 3).

3.1.3 Service characteristics and positions
The product for cover panel is classified into 5 types (see Table 4) according to service characteristics and 2 types according to service positions (see Table 5).

3.1.4 Labeling example
The product is labeled in the order of product name, service characteristic code, service position code, standard number, designation, supply state, and dimension/specification. Below are labeling examples:

The sheets for structural parts in the state of O, with a designation of 5182, a thickness of 1.50 mm, a width of 1500.0 mm and a length of 3000.0 mm are labeled as follows:
