1.0.4 The fire prevention design of interior decoration of buildings shall meet not only meet those specified in this code, but also comply with those in the relevant current national standards.
2 Terms
2.0.1 interior decoration of buildings
activities such as decoration, protection and fixed facility installation in buildings to meet functional requirements
2.0.2 decorative fabric
Textiles, e.g. window curtain and purdah, made of natural fibers such as cotton, linen, silk and wool as well as other synthetic fibers, so as to meet the interior functional requirements of buildings
2.0.3 partition
the vertical partition fixed in the interior but away from the roof of the building
2.0.4 fixed furniture
the furniture fixed together with the building structure or not liable to translocation, such as closet, wall cabinet, display stand, large goods shelf, etc. in the building
3 Types and Classification of Decoration Material
3.0.1 According to the application positions and functions, the decoration materials may be classified into seven categories, i.e. ceiling decoration material, wall face decoration material, floor decoration material, partition decoration material, fixed furniture, decorative fabric and other decoration materials.
Note: other decoration materials refer to stair handrail, picture rail, skirting, window curtain box, radiator cover, etc.
3.0.2 According to the combustion performance, the decoration materials shall be classified into 4 levels and shall meet the requirements specified in Table 3.0.2.
Type 3.0.2 Combustion Performance Level of Decoration material
Level Combustion performance of decoration material
A Incombustibility
B1 Flame retardancy
B2 Combustibility
B3 Inflammability
3.0.3 The combustion performance level of decoration material shall be determined through testing according to the relevant requirements of GB 8624 Classification for Burning Behavior of Building Materials and Products.
3.0.4 The gypsum plasterboard and mineral-cotton acoustic board with combustion performance reaching Level B1 and installed on metal joist may be used as Level A decoration materials.
3.0.5 The paper or cloth wall paper with mass per unit area less than 300g/m2, where directly bonded to Level A base material, may be used as Level B1 decoration material.
3.0.6 The inorganic decorative coating on Level A base material may be used as Level A decoration material; the organic decorative coating on Level A base material, with coating ratio less than 1.5kg/m2 and dry film thickness of coating not greater than 1.0mm, may be used as Level B1 decoration material.
3.0.7 Where multi-layer decoration materials are adopted, the combustion performance level of each layer shall meet the requirements of this code. The combustion performance level of composite decoration material shall be determined through integral testing.
4 Typical Places
4.0.1 The interior decoration of buildings shall not arbitrarily reduce, change, remove or block fire protection facility, evacuation indicatory sign, safety exit, evacuation exit, evacuation walkway, fire compartment, smoke compartment, etc.
4.0.2 The interior hydrant cabinet door of the building shall not be sheltered by the decoration, and the color of decoration materials around this door shall be obviously distinguished from the color of hydrant cabinet door or luminous sign shall be arranged on the surface of hydrant cabinet door.
