This specification is the converted and updated version of three standard series: CQC1103-2014, CQC1104-2014, CQC1105-2014, TICW 18-2012 and K175-2014.
Compared with CQC1103~5-2014, except editorial changes, the main technical changes of this specification are as follows:
1. Expression method of product type and specification is revised;
2. Products of halogen-free and cross linking material series are added;
3. EV-VV, EV-S90S90, EV-YJYJ and other series products and relevant requirements are deleted;
4. Temperature grade and the requirements of tear resistance test of TPE sheath are revised;
5. The voltage of voltage test of finished cable was changed to 3500 V; specific voltage test method is specified;
6. Vehicle rolling compaction test, oil resistance test and capacitance increase rate after water penetration are deleted;
7. Extrusion test, reagent resistance test, abrasion resistance test, heat shrinkage test, insulation and long-term DC resistance test and hardness, weather resistance and saponification tests are newly added;
8. The insulation and sheath thickness of the product is adjusted, and the upper and lower limit requirements for outside diameter are deleted;

Part 3: Cables for DC Charging Systems
1 Scope
This specification specifies structure, size, test requirements and inspection rules of cables for DC conductive charging systems of electric vehicles of rated voltages up to and including 1.0kV.
Cables included in this specification are applicable to the connection between electric vehicles and charging spot of high speed electric vehicle charging station, and applicable to the connection between portable charging equipment and charge power supply.

3 Operating Characteristics
3.1 Rated voltage

3.2 Operating temperature of cable
Long-term allowable operating temperature of cables shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 2 of CQC1103-2015.
3.3 Service temperature of cable laying
Recommended ambient temperature range of cables is: -40℃ (or -25℃)~+50℃.
3.4 Allowable bending radius of cables
The bending radius of cables shall not be less than 6 times of the outside diameter of cables.
4 Cable Construction and Technical Requirements
4.1 Conductor
Conductors shall be in accordance with the requirements specified in 6.1 of CQC1103-2015.
Nominal sectional area of conductor: 10 mm2 to 240mm2 for DC power core, 10 mm2 to 120 mm2 for protective grounding core, 4mm2 or 6 mm2 for auxiliary power supply core, and ≤2.5mm2 for charging signal and control core.
4.2 Insulation
The insulation shall be any extruded and moulded compound listed in Table 2 of CQC1103-2015.
Properties of insulation materials shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 6 of CQC1103-2015.
Nominal thickness of insulation shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 1, insulation thickness of protective grounding core and auxiliary power supply core shall be in accordance with those specified in Tables 1 and 2. Any thickness of isolating layer shall not included in the insulation thickness.
Mean insulation thickness shall not be less than the nominal values specified in Tables 1 and 2, the insulation thickness at the thinnest part shall not less than the difference of 90% of the nominal value minus 0.1mm.
4.3 Insulated core strand and filling materials
Insulated core and filling materials shall be in accordance with those specified in 6.4 of CQC1103-2015.
Charging communication and control insulated core may be stranded into one unit, and served as a core stranded with other cores.
Stranding direction of stranded unit is to the left.
Insulated core of auxiliary power supply is located at the outer edge clearance between protective earth core and supply core.
Stranded lay ratio of cable core shall not greater than 16 times.
4.4 Inner sheath
Inner sheath shall be in accordance with those specified in 6.5 of CQC1103-2015.
Mechanical and physical properties of inner sheath shall be in accordance with those specified in Tables 6 and 7 of CQC1103-2015.
Nominal thickness of inner sheath is 0.6mm, and the average thickness of inner sheath shall not be less than the nominal value.
4.5 Overall shield
Bare round copper wire or tinned copper wire shall be adopted for weaving the metal overall shield (if any) at inner sheath.
Woven shield shall be in accordance with those specified in 6.6 of CQC1103-2015.
Knitting tightness of shield layer shall not be less than 80%.
4.6 Sheath or outer sheath
The materials of cable outer sheath shall be those specified in Table 2 of CQC1103-2015, and coating on the outer surface of braided shield or stranded insulated core. Material properties of sheath or outer sheath shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 7 of CQC1103-2015.
The average thickness of sheath or outer sheath shall not be less than the nominal value, and the thickness at the thinnest part shall not be less than the difference of 85% of the nominal value minus 0.1mm.
Nominal value of thickness of sheath or outer sheath shall not be less than those specified in Tables 1 and 2 of this specification.
4.7 Signal and control cores
Signal and control cores shall be in accordance with those specified in 6.8 of CQC1103-2015.
Shielded signal and control cores may be covered by a single layer of extruded or wrapped inner lining (with the same materials of insulation or sheath), and the nominal thickness of inner lining shall not less than 0.3mm.
