This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 4085-2005 Semirigid polyvinyl chloride floor tiles.
The following main changes have been made with respect to GB/T 4085-2005:
——The density test is deleted (see 5.3 and 6.6 of Edition 2005);
——The scope is modified (see clause 1; clause 1 of Edition 2005);
——The terms and definitions are modified (see clause 3; clause 3 of Edition 2005);
——The classification and mark are modified (see clause 4; clause 4 of Edition 2005);
——The requirements and test methods for wear-resistant layer thickness are added (see 5.2.2 and 6.3.2.2);
——The requirements and test methods for side straightness are added (see 5.2.3 and 6.3.4);
——The requirements and test methods for impact resistance are added (see 5.3.1 and 6.7).
——The requirements and test methods for bendability are added (see 5.3.1 and 6.8);
——The requirements and test methods for residual indentation are modified (see 5.3.1 and 6.9; 5.3 and 6.7 of Edition 2005);
——The requirements and test methods for wear resistance are modified (see 5.3.1 and 6.10; 5.3 and 6.11 of Edition 2005);
——The requirements and test methods for chair caster test are added (see 5.3.1 and 6.11);
——The requirements and test methods for special performance are added (see 5.3.3 and 6.14);
——The requirements for marking, transport and storage are modified (see clause 8; clause 8 of Edition 2005).
This standard was proposed by China Building Materials Federation.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of SAC/TC 195 National Technical Committee on Lightweight and Decorative Building Materials of Standardization Administration of China.
The previous editions of this part are as follows:
——GB/T 4085-1983 and GB/T 4085-2005.
Semirigid polyvinyl chloride floor tiles
1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification, grade and mark, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transport and storage of semirigid polyvinyl chloride floor tiles (hereinafter referred to as floor tiles).
This standard is applicable to floor tiles produced with polyvinyl chloride resin as the main raw material and used for floor pavement in buildings.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
homogeneous floor tile
floor tile with the same composition, color and pattern in the product thickness direction
3.2
heterogeneous floor tile
polyvinyl chloride floor tile with multilayer structure, which is composed of wear-resistant layer and other layers, and may contain reinforcing layer or stabilizing layer, with the wear-resistant layer different from other layers in composition and function
4 Classification, grade and mark
4.1 Classification
Classification by structure:
a) homogeneous floor tile, with code of HT;
b) heterogeneous floor tile, with code of CT.
4.2 Grade
4.2.1 Grade of wear-resistant layer
The wear-resistant layer is classified into Grades T, P, M and F.
Note: Homogeneous floor tiles may be regarded as a whole wear-resistant layer.
4.2.2 Grade of use
See Annex A for grade of use.
4.3 Specification
See Table 1 for the minimum thickness specification of floor tiles.
Table 1 Minimum thickness specification
Dimensions in millimeters
Grade of use Total thickness
(Homogeneous and heterogeneous) Thickness of wear-resistant layer
(Heterogeneous)
Household grade 21 1.5 0.10
22 2.0 0.10
22+ 2.0 0.10
23 2.0 0.25
Commercial grade 31 2.0 0.25
32 2.5 0.50
33 3.0 0.50
34 3.0 0.50
Light industry grade 41 3.0 0.50
42 3.0 0.50
43 3.0 0.50
4.4 Product mark
The floor tile shall be marked in the following sequence: Product name, standard number, grade of use, structure classification, length, width, total thickness, grade and thickness of wear-resistant layer.
Example: Heterogeneous semirigid polyvinyl chloride floor tile with grade of use of Grade 22, length of 600 mm, width of 600 mm, total thickness of 2.0 mm, wear-resistant layer grade of Grade T and thickness of 0.10 mm is expressed as:
