Test method for the identification of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fiber
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test method for the identification of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fiber (hereinafter referred to as recycled PET).
This standard is applicable to natural and colored recycled PET, and may be referenced by other functional recycled PET.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 4146 and the following apply.
3.1
recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fiber
polyethylene terephthalate fiber made from recycled waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polymer and waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) textile materials
4 Principle
Based on the differences in some characteristics caused by the essential difference between the processing process of recycled PET and original PET, the specimen is processed according to the specified conditions and tested with a high performance liquid chromatograph. Then, according to the difference in the relative peak area of the specimen under different retention times, the purpose of qualitative identification is realized.
5 Apparatuses, reagents and materials
5.1 Apparatuses
5.1.1 High performance liquid chromatograph: equipped with diode array detector (DAD) and column temperature control device.
5.1.2 Analytical balance: with an accuracy of 0.1mg.
5.1.3 Heating device: oven, with a working temperature range of 50℃~250℃ and an accuracy of ±2℃.
5.1.4 Reaction tube: 50mL, made of stainless steel and having a sealing cover with PTFE inner pad. The reaction tube as shown in Figure 1 is feasible, and other reaction tubes meeting the conditions may also be used.
