1 Scope
This standard specifies the methods and requirements of airbag system abuse test for automobile.
This standard is applicable to Category M1 automobiles which are equipped with airbag system and of which the minimum ground clearance under mass in running order is greater than 100 mm.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 19949.1 and the following apply.
3.1
airbag system
system consisting of one or more sensors, an airbag control unit, and an airbag module
3.2
airbag control unit
on-board control unit that controls the airbag system
3.3
deployment
inflation of the airbag
3.4
abuse
deployment of airbag that does not occur due to occupant protection

4 Requirements
The airbag equipped on the vehicle shall not be deployed after the tests specified in Sub-clauses 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4 are completed.
5 Test methods
5.1 Preconditioning of vehicle
5.1.1 The test vehicle shall be able to reflect the characteristics of this series of products, shall include the equipment normally installed and be in a state of normal operation.
5.1.2 Before each test, it shall be ensured that the drive system, suspension system (including tyres), steering and braking system, etc. of the test vehicle are in the state specified by the automobile manufacturer, the automobile engine is in the startup state or the ignition switch is in the "ON" position.
5.1.3 The mass of the test vehicle shall be the mass in running order.
5.2 Static test
5.2.1 Test of door and lid or bonnet
Make the door glass at the lowermost position. Without the help of tools, close each door and lid or bonnet of the vehicle one by one at the speed not less than 4 m/s at the lock body position (the speed at the moment of door closing). During the test, the other non-test doors and lids or bonnets of the vehicle are closed.
If the speed of the lock body cannot reach 4 m/s at the moment of door closing due to the special design of the door and lid or bonnet, the closing test of the corresponding door and lid or bonnet shall be carried out at the highest closing speed that the vehicle can reach.
5.2.2 Test of moving front lateral seat
The test personnel sit on the front lateral seat and move the seat forward and backward (the power seat, if any, shall be moved at the design speed). Move forward from the rearmost end of the seat travel to the most front, and backward from the most front of the seat travel to the rearmost end.
