This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 21652-2008 Copper and copper alloy wire and the following main changes have been made with respect to GB/T 21652-2008:
——Nine designations, i.e., TU0, TMg0.2, TMg0.5, HB90-0.1, H66, QSn4-0.3, QSn8-0.3, BZn12-24 and BZn12-37-1.5, and corresponding technical requirements are added; five designations, i.e., TCr1-0.18, TCr1, HSb61-0.8-0.5, HBi60-1.3 and HSb60-0.9, and corresponding technical requirements are deleted;
——New requirements are given for the states of wires of various designations according to GB/T 29094-2012;
——The diameter (across flat) range of wires is extended and modified; the specification of H70, H68 and H66 soft brass wires is extended from 0.05mm~8.5mm to 0.05mm~18.0mm, that of HPb59-3 lead brass wire from 1.0mm~8.5mm to 1.0mm~10.0mm, that of QSi3-1 soft and 1/4 hard silicon bronze wires from 0.1mm~8.5mm to 0.1mm~18.0mm, and that of BZn15-20 and BZn18-20 soft copper-nickel-zinc alloy wires from 0.1mm~8.0mm to 0.1mm~18.0mm;
——The diameter (or across flat) precision of wires is improved in relation to that stated in the former standard;
——Technical requirements and corresponding test method for the grain size of wires are added;
——The weight values of wire coils are larger in relation to those stated in 2008 edition.
This standard was proposed by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Nonferrous Metals of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 243).
The previous edition of this standard is as follows:
——GB/T 21652-2008.
Copper and copper alloy wire
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate, and order (or contract) contents of copper and copper alloy wires.
This standard is applicable to round, square and hexagonal copper and copper alloy wires (hereinafter referred to as "wires").
