1 Scope
This standard specifies the principle, instruments, equipment and devices, test conditions, sample preparation and test procedures for measurement of radio frequency sensitivity of industrial electric detonators.
This standard is applicable to the determination of sensitivity of industrial electric detonators to 0.3GHz to 18GHz frequency (continuous wave). Civil electric detonators for other purposes may be used for reference.

The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this standard. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Principle
In a shielded enclosure, radio frequency power is applied to industrial electric detonators by means of a coalignment with a radio frequency source of which test frequency and output power are adjustable. Ignition sensitivity of each ignition mode of industrial electric detonator to basic radio frequency power of different frequencies is determined by basic radio frequency sensitivity test. Statistical radio frequency sensitivity test is used to determine the radio frequency power and standard deviation of 50% ignition of industrial electric detonators at sensitive frequencies and ignition modes or at concerned frequencies and ignition modes, and to deduce the radio frequency power of ignition and non-ignition with given confidence and response probability. See Figure 1 for the functional block diagram of test system.
