This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 13931-2002Methods of performance tests for electrostatic precipitators. In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 13931-2002:
——The requirements for filters are modified (see 4.1.5 of this standard; 4.1.4 of Edition 2002);
——The requirements for filter cartridge preparation and sampling are modified (see 4.1.7 of this standard; 4.1.6 of Edition 2002);
——Based on the completeness of the main technical indexes on product performance, the power consumption test of electrostatic precipitator is added (see 4.4).
This standard was proposed by the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee 275 on Environmental Protection Products of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 275).
The previous editions of this standard are as follows:
——GB/T 13931-1992 and GB/T 13931-2002.
Electrostatic precipitator - Methods of performance tests
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test items, test methods and report preparation requirements of electrostatic precipitator performance.
This standard is applicable to the performance test of electrostatic precipitators, and may be referenced to for wet electrostatic precipitators (WESP) and electrostatic fabric filters.
2 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1
standardized status of flue gas
condition of flue gas at the temperature of 273 K and the atmospheric pressure of 101,325 Pa, called standardized status for short
Note: For the purpose of this standard, the concentration of air pollutants refers to the value of dry flue gas at standardized status.
2.2
isokinetic sampling
sampling mode in which the velocity of dusty flue gas entering the sampling nozzle is equal to that of dusty flue gas at the sampling point on the flue section
2.3
equivalent diameter
diameter of a circular flue, or the result of 2 (length × width) divided by (length + width) for a rectangular flue, expressed in m
2.4
internal sampling
mode of putting both the sampling nozzle and the filter in the flue for direct sampling
2.5
multi-points moving sampling
sampling mode of moving a same sampling device on the given sampling points, with same sampling time for each point
2.6
flue gas humidity
content of vapor in the flue gas coexisting with 1 kg dry flue gas
2.7
power consumption of electrostatic precipitator
total active power consumed by high- and low-voltage power supply equipment (PSE) of electrostatic precipitator in unit time, expressed in kW
3 Test items
Test items include:
a) collection efficiency;
b) body pressure drop;
c) body air leakage percentage;
d) power consumption of electrostatic precipitator.
4 Test methods
4.1 Collection efficiency test
4.1.1 Overview
The dust concentration of flue gas at the inlet and outlet of the electrostatic precipitator and the air leakage percentage of the electrostatic precipitator body will be tested simultaneously, and then the collection efficiency will be calculated based on the data obtained.
4.1.2 Requirements for sampling position and holes and number of sampling points
4.1.2.1 Sampling position
The sampling position shall be selected from the straight pipe segment with stable gas flow, and its distance from interference sources such as elbows and reducers shall be greater than 6 and 3 times of equivalent diameter in the downstream and upstream directions respectively. To select such location, vertical pipe segment shall be given priority. When the flue length cannot meet the above requirements, the relatively suitable pipe segment may be selected as the sampling position based on actual situations.
4.1.2.2 Sampling holes
The sampling hole shall be large enough to insert the largest sampling device into the flue. The short pipe at the orifice should not be too long. The structure of the sampling hole may be determined at discretion.
4.1.2.3 Number of sampling points
4.1.2.3.1 Circular flue
On the selected test section, set two sampling holes perpendicular to each other; divide the flue section into a certain number of concentric equal-area rings, and take four points on each equal-area ring as sampling points through the sampling holes along the diameter direction of the section, as shown in Figure 1.
