1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to improving the technology level for hydrochloric acid regeneration engineering with spraying and roasting method of iron and steel enterprises, guaranteeing the engineering quality and achieving advanced technology, economic rationality and environmental protection.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the construction, operation and maintenance management of newly-built and renovated hydrochloric acid regeneration engineering with spraying and roasting technology of steel and iron enterprises
1.0.3 Apart from the requirements specified in this code, the construction of hydrochloric acid regeneration engineering with spraying and roasting technology of steel and iron enterprises shall also meet the requirements of relevant current national standards.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Hydrochloric acid regeneration process
The process that the hydrochloric acid waste generated from the treatment of pickling line was re-generated through a series of chemical reactions to be re-used for pickling line.
2.0.2 Spraying and roasting technology
The acid and ferric oxide regeneration technology by spraying waste hydrochloric acid in the roasting furnace to have chemical reaction under high-temperature environment.
2.0.3 Tank farm
The area for storing the tanks of fresh acid, waste acid, regenerated acid, rinse water and other liquid.
2.0.4 Waste acid
The waste hydrochloric acid from pickling line.
2.0.5 Regenerated acid
The hydrochloric acid generated from the hydrochloric acid regeneration unit and reused for pickling line.
2.0.6 Fresh acid
The purchased hydrochloric acid product.
2.0.7 Rinse water
The discharge water after cleaning the strip steel of pickling line at the rinsing technology section.
2.0.8 Ferric oxide
The ferric oxide powder generated from the spraying and roasting technology.
2.0.9 Concentrated acid
The waste acid undergoing heat exchange of preconcentrator and circulatory concentration.
2.0.10 Roaster
The equipment in which the sprayed concentrated acid is vaporized and subjected to chemical reaction under high-temperature environment to generate hydrochloric acid gas and ferric oxide.
2.0.11 Spray boom
The equipment which sprays in the concentrated acid from the top of roaster.
2.0.12 Cyclone separator
The equipment installed between the roaster and the preconcentrator for separating the ferric oxide from flue gas.
2.0.13 Preconcentrator
The equipment for cooling and dedusting the flue gas of roaster and concentrating the waste acid.
