——Specification of electroplated layer;
——Specification of sprayed coating.
This is Part 2 of QB/T 2002.
This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part is a revision of QB/T 2002.2-1994 Technical conditions of surface spray painting of leather hardware fittings.
In addition to a number of editorial changes, the following technical changes have been made with respect to QB/T 2002.2-1994:
——“Terms and definitions” is added;;
——“Appearance quality” requirements are detailed;
——“Hardness” requirements are deleted;
——Test methods for “adhesion” are modified;
——Assessment standard and test cycle for “corrosion resistance” are added;
——"Inspection rules" is modified.
This part was proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
This part is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Leather of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 252).
This part replaces the former professional standard QB/T 2002.2-1994 Technical conditions of surface spray painting of leather hardware fittings, which is abolished from the implementation date of this part.

——QB/T 2002.2-1994.
Hardware fitting of leather products - Specification of sprayed coating
1 Scope
This part of QB/T 2002 specifies terms and definitions, requirements, test methods and inspection rules for sprayed coating of hardware fitting of leather products.
It applies to the sprayed coating of various hardware fittings of leather products and may be referenced by other organic coatings.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 1771 Paints and varnishes - Determination of resistance to neutral salt spray (fog)
GB/T 13452.2-2008 Paints and varnishes - Determination of film thickness
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this part, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
sagging
traces of spray liquid flowing down on surface of the hardware
3.2
orange peel
corrugated surface treatment layer similar to orange peel
4 Classification
The sprayed coating is divided into plastic sprayed coating and paint sprayed coating.
5 Appearance quality
The exposed sprayed coating shall have the same color and be free from sagging, orange peel, whitening, shrinkage, wrinkle, missed spraying, pile paint, paint peel, obvious blistering, particles and pinholes.
5.2 Adhesion
The paint sprayed coating shall be shedding-free.
5.3 Thickness
The thickness shall not exceed 100μm.
5.4 Corrosion resistance
The number of corrosion spots shall not exceed 3, and the area of a single corrosion spot shall not be greater than 1mm2.
6 Test methods
6.1 Appearance quality
Conduct visual inspection in case of good light.
6.2 Adhesion
Make 6 passes of about 5mm-long parallel scratches, at an interval of 1mm, on the surface of sprayed coating with a stylus or steel needle with curvature of 0.013mm~0.018mm in the direction perpendicular to the length of sample. The stylus or steel needle shall pass through the entire depth of the sprayed coating. Then make 3 passes of about 8mm-long scratches, at an interval of 1mm, in the direction perpendicular to the previous 6 scratches to form 10 small squares. Gently touch with hands and observe the shedding situation of the sprayed coating.
