3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
air cleaner for ventilation system
device that is possessed of a certain capacity to remove air pollutants in the air from ventilation system
3.2
air pollutants
substance in the air which has harmful influence on human body or environment, including particulate matters, gaseous pollutants, microorganism and other pollutants
3.3
inhalable particulate matter (PM10)
particulate matter in ambient air whose aerodynamic equivalent diameter is less than or equal to 10μm
3.4
fine particulate matter (PM2.5)
particulate matter in ambient air whose aerodynamic equivalent diameter is less than or equal to 2.5μm
3.5
rated air flow
air flow designed to be treated by air cleaner in unit time in the specified state
3.6
cleaning efficiency
capacity of air cleaner for removing air pollutant passing the air cleaner by once at rated air flow, i.e. the ratio of the concentration difference between pollutants in the air at inlet and those at outlet of the air cleaner to the concentration of pollutant in the air at inlet
3.7
initial resistance
static pressure loss of non-powered air cleaner operating at rated air flow in initial state
3.8
final resistance
specified resistance value of air cleaner raised and reached due to standard synthetic dust collection at rated air flow, which is the index used to characterize the performance of isolated non-powered air cleaner
3.9
dust holding capacity
total mass of standard synthetic dust collected by air cleaner reaching final resistance at rated air flow, which is the index used to characterize the performance of isolated non-powered air cleaner
3.10
rated power
input power of air cleaner working at rated air flow and wind pressure in initial state
3.11
cleaning energy efficiency
ratio of clean ventilation quantity to rated power when powered air cleaner operates at rated air flow and wind pressure
Note: clean ventilation quantity is the product of rated air flow and cleaning efficiency.
4 Classification and Mark
