This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in the GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 3191-2010 Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys Extruded Bars, Rods. In addition to a number of editorial changes, the following technical deviations have been made with respect to the GB/T 3191-2010 (the previous edition):

1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates and order (contract) contents of the extrusion rods and bars of aluminium and aluminium alloys.
This standard is applicable to extruded round rods, square rods and hexagonal rods of aluminium and aluminium alloys (hereinafter referred to as "rods and bars").

3 Requirements
3.1 Product classification
3.1.1 Designation, supply states, dimension and specification
The designation, supply state, dimension and specification of rods and bars shall meet those specified in Table 1. Rods and bars of other designations, supply states, dimensions and specifications, if necessary, shall be determined by the supplier and the purchaser through negotiation and be indicated in the order (contract).

3.3 Dimensional deviation
3.3.1 Section dimension
The allowable deviation of section dimension of rods and bars shall comply with the requirements of Class D in Table 2. Other classes or special requirements shall be indicated in the order (or contract).
