This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization — Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This standard replaces GB/T 26703-2011 Determination of abrasion resistance for top piece of leather shoes — Rotation cylindrical drum method. In addition to a number of structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 26703-2011:
a) The test methods used in the scope have been modified (see Clause 1 herein; Clause 1 of Edition 2011);
b) The normative references have been modified (see Clause 2 herein; Clause 2 of Edition 2011);
c) The terms and definitions have been added (see Clause 3);
d) The apparatus and materials for method B have been added (see 4.2);
e) The requirements for the test surface of specimens have been modified (see 5.1.2.4 herein; 4.2.4 of Edition 2011);
f) The requirements of method B for specimens have been added (see 5.2);
g) The test procedure of method B has been added (see 6.2);
h) The rounding off of the results of method A has been added (see 7.1.3);
i) The test results of method B have been added (see 7.2).
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this standard may be the subject of patent rights. The issuing body of this document shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This standard was proposed by the China National Light Industry Council.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Footwear of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 305).

——This edition is the first revision.
Determination of abrasion resistance for top piece of leather shoes
1 Scope
This standard describes two methods for determination (Method A and Method B) of abrasion resistance for top piece of leather shoes. Method A is the rotation cylindrical drum method. Method B is the reciprocating method.
This standard is applicable to the general top piece of leather shoes (hereinafter referred to as "top piece").
