1 Scope
This standard specifies the inspection rules for rolling bearings and their commercial parts (steel ball, tapered roller, cylindrical roller and needle roller) as well as bearing accessories.
This standard is applicable to the inspection, acceptance and supervision inspection for rolling bearings and their commercial parts, bearing accessories by the following organizations or agencies:
a) Quality department in organizations of the supplier (the first party);
b) The purchaser or purchasing organization (the second party);
c) Independent verification authority or certification authority (the third party).

The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments to (excluding corrections to), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest editions of these documents are applicable.
