Test method of electrostatic sensitivity for industrial electric detonator
1 Scope
This standard specifies the equipment, test procedure and result expression for testing of electrostatic sensitivity of industrial electric detonators.
This standard is applicable to testing for electrostatic sensitivity of industrial electric detonators, and the testing for electrostatic sensitivity of other kinds of electric initiating explosive devices may be used for reference.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition applies.

3 Principle
The electrostatic discharge effect on an industrial electric detonator may be equivalently regarded as the discharge effect of a capacitor charged to certain voltage between a pin wire and a shell of the detonator. The electrostatic sensitivity of the electric detonator is expressed by the charging voltage required if the firing probability of the detonator, detonated under the electrostatic discharge effect, is 50% or by the firing number under fixed voltage.
4 Apparatus
4.1 Electrostatic sensitivity meter
See Figure 1 for the principle of an electrostatic sensitivity meter. The technical indicators of the meter shall meet the following requirements:
a) The highest output value of electrostatic voltage shall be not less than 30kV;
b) The minimum division value of electrostatic voltage shall be not more than 0.2kV.
c) The relative error of the energy storage capacitor of the meter is not more than 5%;
d) The relative error of the series resistance of the meter is not more than 5%.
4.2 Anti-explosion box
5 Sample preparation
5.1 Place the sample at (22±8)℃ for more than 2h.
