For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 8005.1 and the following apply.
3.1
exposed surfaces
surfaces of mill finish profiles corresponding to the visible positions of profiles being processed and assembled and installed on the building, including in an open or closed state
3.2
circumscribing circle

4 Requirements
4.1 Product classification
4.1.1 Designation and state
Designation and state shall meet those specified in Table 1. When other designation and state need to be purchased, they shall be determined through negotiation of the supplier and the demander, and shall be noted in the order (or contract).
Table 1 Designation and state
Designation a State a
6060 and 6063 T5, T6 and T66b
6005, 6063A, 6463 and 6463A T5 and T6
6061 T4 and T6
a If different designations such as 6005, 6060, 6061, 6063, etc. (or different states of the same designation) are adopted for the same building product at the same time, it is difficult to obtain an anodized surface in the same color by using the same process for anodizing. It is recommended to consider the effect of color inconsistency on building structure sufficiently during selection of designation and state.
b The artificial aging after solid solution heat treatment makes the mechanical property reach special state as specified in this part via process control.
4.1.2 Dimensional specification
The cross-sectional dimension shall comply with the drawings signed by the supplier and the demander. The length shall be determined through negotiation of the supplier and the demander and noted in the order (or contract).
4.1.3 Marking and example
Mill finish profiles marking is expressed in the order of product name, No. of this part, designation, state, section code and length. Example:
Mill finish profiles with 6063 designation, T5 state, section code of 421001 and specified length of 6000mm shall be marked as:
Mill finish profiles GB/T 5237.1-6063T5-421001×6000
4.2 Quality assurance
The quality of ingot for mill finish profiles shall meet the requirements of YS/T 67.
4.3 Chemical composition
Chemical composition shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3190.
4.4 Dimensional deviation
4.4.1 Cross-sectional dimension
4.4.1.1 Wall thickness dimensions
4.4.1.1.1 Wall thickness dimensions are classified into Groups A, B and C, as shown in Figure 2.
Keys:
A——thickness of fin wall;
B——thickness of the peripheral wall of closed cavity;
C——wall thickness of partition between two closed cavities;
H——non-wall thickness dimension;
E——reference dimension significantly affecting H dimension deviation at opening position.
Figure 2 Schematic diagram for indication of cross-sectional dimension
4.4.1.1.2 The permissible deviation of wall thickness is classified into ordinary grade, high precision grade and ultra-high precision grade, as shown in Table 2. The permissible deviation of wall thickness shall be selected according to actual assembly or overlapping requirements, and noted in the drawings. As for the wall thickness which is not noted with deviation in drawings but may be directly measured, the permissible deviation may be regarded as ordinary grade. However, the permissible deviation of wall thickness of assembly-related 6060T5, 6063T5, 6063AT5, 6463T5 and 6463AT5 mill finish profiles shall be in accordance with the requirements for high precision grade, ultra-high precision grade or above in Table 2.
