This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization — Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 26520-2011 Calcium chloride for industrial use. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 26520-2011:
— The scope has been modified (see Clause 1 herein; Clause 1 of Edition 2011);
— The classifications of calcium chloride dihydrate have been modified (see Clause 5 herein; Clause 5 of Edition 2011);
— The index requirements for pH have been modified (see 6.2 herein; 5.2 of Edition 2011).
— The index requirements of calcium chloride dihydrate Type III have been added (see 6.2 herein);
— The index requirements of the water insoluble matter and iron content of calcium chloride anhydrous and calcium chloride dihydrate have been modified (see 6.2 herein; 5.2 of Edition 2011);
— The determination methods of total alkali chloride, iron content and pH have been modified (see 7.5.2.3, 7.7 and 7.10 herein, 6.6.2.3, 6.8 and 6.11 of Edition 2011);
— The gravimetric method in the determination method of sulfate content has been modified, the visible turbidimetric method has been added (see 7.8; 6.9 of Edition 2011).

1 Scope
This document specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of calcium chloride for industrial use.
This document is applicable to calcium chloride for industrial use.
Note: This product is mainly used in the removal of ice, snow and dust, anti-freezing, cold prevention of building materials, desiccant, oil exploitation, refrigerant and other industries.

5 Classification
Calcium chloride for industrial use is divided into calcium chloride anhydrous, calcium chloride dihydrate and calcium chloride solution.
Calcium chloride anhydrous is divided into Type I and Type II; calcium chloride dihydrate is divided into Type I, Type II and Type III.
6 Requirements
6.1 Appearance: calcium chloride anhydrous and calcium chloride dihydrate are white flake, powder or granular solids; calcium chloride solution is colorless and transparent liquid.
6.2 The test method of calcium chloride for industrial use as specified in this document shall meet those specified in Table 1.
