1 Scope
This part of GB/T 18204 specifies the method for determination of chemical pollutants in indoor air and urea in pool water in public places.
This part is applicable to the determination of chemical pollutants in indoor air and urea in pool water in public places. Indoor environment in other sites and bedrooms, etc. may also refer to the provisions of this part.
Note: If two or more examination methods are available for the same parameter in this part, specific method may be selected according to technical conditions, but Method I shall be the referee method.

3 Carbon Monoxide
3.1 Nondispersive infrared analysis method
3.1.1 Principle
Carbon monoxide will selectively absorb infrared rays. Within a certain range, absorption values form a linear relationship with the concentration of carbon monoxide. The concentration of carbon monoxide in sample may be determined according to the absorption values.
3.1.2 Reagents and materials
3.1.2.1 Allochroic silica gel: dry for 2h at 120℃.
3.1.2.2 Calcium chloride: analytically pure.
3.1.2.3 High-purity nitrogen: purity of 99.999%.
3.1.2.4 Hopcalite oxidant: main components are 60% of manganese oxide (MnO) and 40% of copper oxide (CuO), 830μm~1 000μm particles; keep dry in the process of application and storage.
3.1.2.5 Carbon monoxide standard gas (stored in aluminum alloy bottle): uncertainty<1%.
