This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 17048-2009 Hard-drawn aluminium wire for overhead line conductors, and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 17048-2009:
——The resistance level and section shape of hard-drawn aluminum wire has been added in the scope of application (see clause 1; 1.1 of Edition 2009);
——The resistivity and temperature coefficient of resistance of hard-drawn aluminium wires of different resistance levels at 20℃ have been added (see clause 3);
——The equivalent diameter and the tolerance on the equivalent diameter of the hard-drawn aluminium molded wire have been added (see clause 6);
——The mechanical properties of such hard-drawn aluminium round wire and hard-drawn aluminium molded wire as of different models have been added (see 11.1);
——In Annex A, A.1 "Code” has been changed to “Category code", and A.1.1 and A.1.2 have been deleted; the representation method and example of hard-drawn aluminium round wire have been modified, and the representation method and example of hard-drawn aluminium molded wire added (see Annex A; Annex A of Edition 2009).
This standard has been redrafted and modified in relation to IEC 60889: 1987 Hard-drawn aluminium wire for overhead line conductors.
Multiple structural adjustments have been made to this standard with respect to IEC 60889: 1987. Corresponding numbering equivalent clauses between this standard and IEC 60889: 1987 is given in Annex B.
There are technical deviations between this standard and IEC 60889: 1987, which are made to meet the practical needs of China's power industry:
——The resistance level of hard-drawn aluminium wire, the hard-drawn aluminium molded wire as well as its corresponding diameter range have been added in clause 1;
——Clause 2 "Normative references" has been added;
——The resistance level and corresponding electrical property requirements of Hard-drawn aluminium wire have been added In clause 3;
——The requirements for equivalent diameter and tolerance on the equivalent diameter of hard-drawn aluminium molded wire have been added in clause 6;
——The mechanical properties of hard-drawn aluminium molded wire have been added in 11.1;
——Annex A "Method for representing models of hard-drawn aluminium wires for overhead line conductors” has been added for the convenience of application of this standard.
This standard was proposed by China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the SAC/TC 422 National Technical Committee on Bare Wire of Standardization Administration of China.
The previous editions of this standard are as follows:
——GB/T 17048-1997 and GB/T 17048-2009.
Hard-drawn aluminium wire for overhead line conductors
1 Scope
This standard specifies the mechanical and electrical properties of hard-drawn aluminium round wire with nominal diameter ranging from 1.25 mm to 5.00 mm and hard-drawn aluminium molded wire with nominal equivalent diameter ranging from 2.00 mm to 6.00 mm. Hard-drawn aluminium wire is classified into four resistance levels, namely L, L1, L2 and L3. The hard-drawn aluminium wire is classified by section shape into round wire and molded wire.
This standard is applicable to hard-drawn aluminium wires for the manufacture of stranded conductors for overhead power transmission purposes.
