Waterproof and water-vapour permeable garments
1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, requirements, inspection method, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of waterproof and water-vapour permeable garments.
This standard is applicable to the garments with woven fabric as main fabric and with waterproof and water-vapour permeability function.
This standard is not applicable to garments for infants aged 36 months and below.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions established in GB/T 15557 and the following apply.

garment made from shell fabric with waterproof and water-vapour permeability function
4 Requirements
4.1 Instructions for use
The instructions for use complies with GB/T 5296.4 and GB 31701.
4.2 Size specification
4.2.1 Size specification shall be set according to the requirements of GB/T 1335.
4.2.2 The specification of main parts shall be designed according to the relevant requirements of GB/T 1335.
4.3 Raw materials
4.3.1 Shell fabric
Shell fabric complying with the quality requirements of this standard shall be adopted.
4.3.2 Lining
Lining appropriate to the used shell fabric and complying with the relevant quality requirements of this standard shall be adopted.
4.3.3 Inner container and filler
The inner container and lining appropriate to the used shell fabric and complying with the relevant quality requirements of this standard shall be adopted. The quality of filler used shall meet the relevant laws, regulations and standards. Wherein, the quality of down filler shall also meet the requirements of GB/T 14272.
4.3.4 Aauxiliary materials
4.3.4.1 Lining cloth, shoulder pad, border lace, pocket bag and waterproof adhesive tape
The lining cloth, shoulder pad, border lace, pocket bag and waterproof adhesive tape appropriate to the performance of the used shell fabric and lining shall be adopted and their quality shall meet the requirements of this standard.
4.3.4.2 Stitch thread, rope belt and elastic ribbon
The stitch thread, rope belt and elastic ribbon (except ornamental thread and belt) suitable to the performance of the used shell fabric, lining and auxiliary materials shall be adopted.
4.3.4.3 Button, zipper, sticking tape and other accessories
The buttons, zipper (except ornamental button and zipper) and other accessories appropriate to the used shell fabric shall be adopted, the button, zipper, ornamental button and zipper and other accessories shall be smooth on surface and free from burr, damage, defect, accessible sharp tip and edge, and they shall be free from deformation, discoloration, staining and rust after washing and/or ironing. The zipper shall mesh in good condition and run smoothly. The two sides of the sticking tape are closely matched, and the adhesive force is appropriate.
Note: accessible sharp tip or edge are the sharp edge and tip on finished product that may cause harm to human skin under normal wearing.
4.4 Strip and plaid matching
4.4.1 Obvious strips or plaids of 1.0cm or above on shell fabric shall comply with those specified in Table 1 (except in special design).
