1 Scope
This specification specifies technical requirements for the automated instrumentation engineering in petrochemical industry.
This specification is applicable to the construction and acceptance of automated instrumentation engineering in petrochemical industry for new construction, expansion and renovation.

3 General provisions
3.1 The construction of instrumentation engineering shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the design documents and instrument product specifications, and any modification in the design shall be approved in writing by the original designer.
3.2 In the construction of instrumentation engineering, this specification shall apply if there is any matter not specified in the design documents.
3.3 The construction of instrumentation engineering shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions for discipline interface given in the design documents. If there are no such provisions available in the design documents, the interfaces of the piping and equipment discipline shall comply with Annex A of SH/T 355l-2013.
3.4 The safety technology and labor protection in instrumentation engineering construction shall comply with the provisions of GB 50484.
3.5 Welding operations in instrumentation engineering shall comply with GB 50517 and relevant standards of the petrochemical industry.
3.6 The degreasing operation in instrumentation engineering shall comply with GB 50093.
3.7 The prerequisites for commencement of instrumentation engineering work shall include:
a) Piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), instrumentation engineering design documents and main instrument manuals are complete;
b) The verification, joint review and design disclosure of instrumentation engineering design documents have been completed;
c) The main construction scheme has been approved;
d) The orders for instrumentation and accessories have been placed, the main instruments and design specification documentation have been successfully delivered, and the installation materials acquired are adequate for continuous construction;
e) Necessary temporary construction facilities have been provided in place on the construction site;
f) The installation of civil engineering, process equipment and steel structure has been basically completed, the interior decoration of the control room has been completed, and the delivery and installation conditions are ready;
g) Key construction personnel have received technical disclosure, are kept on top of the detailed engineering design documents of the instruments, and has been completed necessary technical training;
h) The complete construction machines and tools, equipment and instruments (meters) are in place;
i) A sound quality management organization has been established.
3.8 The main construction procedure in instrumentation engineering is as shown in Figure 3.8.
