1 General provisions
1.0.1 This standard is formulated in order to improve the design level of raw material yard in iron and steel plants and achieve advanced technology, green environmental protection, energy saving and emission reduction, high efficiency and low consumption, economic applicability, safety and reliability.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the design of raw material yard of constructed and renovated iron and steel plants.
1.0.3 The design of raw material yard in iron and steel plants shall be based on the principle of ensuring the production of iron and steel plants, so as to realize environmental protection, energy saving, high efficiency and low consumption in the process of raw material treatment.
1.0.4 In addition to this standard, the design of raw material yard in iron and steel plants shall also meet the requirements of the current relevant standards of China.
2 Terms
2.0.1 raw material yard
place for storage and treatment of bulk raw materials, which is equipped with corresponding storage, transportation and treatment facilities
2.0.2 stock yard
site where materials are stored in a regular manner according to varieties of raw materials
2.0.3 stock pile
accumulation formed by stacking raw materials
2.0.4 storage time
ratio of the effective stock of certain material in the stock yard to the average daily demand of the production users who use the material
2.0.5 operation coefficient of stock yard
ratio of actual (effective) stock to calculated stock in stock yard
2.0.6 operation rate of system
proportion of the operation time of each system facility in the raw material yard to meet the production requirements every day in a day
2.0.7 receiving
process of receiving and unloading raw materials transported by ships, trains, trucks, conveyors, pipelines, etc.
2.0.8 crushing and screening
process in which the approaching raw materials are crushed and screened to achieve the particle size composition required by users
2.0.9 blending
process of homogenizing multiple raw materials required by users according to the target chemical composition, which usually includes three procedures: batching, longitudinal distributing and transverse reclaiming
2.0.10 closed material yard
wind-proof and rain-proof storage place for stacking bulk materials
2.0.11 A-type open material yard
open stock yard operated by rail mechanized stacking and reclaiming equipment
2.0.12 B-type linear and closed material yard
long closed material yard with rail mechanized stacking and reclaiming equipment and without retaining partition wall between adjacent stock piles
2.0.13 C-type linear and closed material yard
long closed material yard with rail mechanized stacking and reclaiming equipment and with a material retaining partition wall between adjacent stock piles
2.0.14 D-type circular and closed material yard
closed circular stock yard with circular stacking and reclaiming equipment
2.0.15 closed storage bin(s)
closed storage bin(s) with stacking materials at the top of the bin(s) and discharging materials at the bottom of the bin(s)
2.0.16 fixed flow control
flow control mode of solidifying the upstream and downstream interlocking relationship of equipment into the control program
2.0.17 free flow control
flow control mode in which the optimal flow line is dynamically optimized according to the starting point and the end point, and the upstream and downstream interlocking relationship of equipment is dynamically generated
3 Basic requirements
3.0.1 The engineering design of the raw material yard shall meet the needs of sintering, pelletizing, coking, ironmaking, lime roasting, steelmaking, captive power plant and other production units in iron and steel plants, as well as of the tasks of unloading, loading, stacking, reclaiming, storing, treating and transporting bulk raw materials required for production.
3.0.2 The scales of raw material yard should be classified by annual receiving quantity, and shall meet the following requirements:
1 Small raw material yard: its annual receiving quantity is less than or equal to 300×104 t;
2 Medium raw material yard: its annual material receiving quantity is greater than 300×104 t and less than 1,000×104 t;
3 Large raw material yard: its annual material receiving quantity is greater than or equal to 1,000×104 t and less than 3,000×104 t;
4 Extra-large raw material yard: its annual material receiving quantity is greater than or equal to 3000 × 104t.
3.0.3 The constructed raw material yard shall be constructed by stages or at one time according to the construction scale of this stage and with consideration of the planning. The original facilities and equipment shall be fully utilized and coordinated with the original system in renovation of the raw material yard. Constructed or renovated raw material yard should be analyzed and calculated, and an economical and reasonable scheme should be put forward.
3.0.4 The environmental protection design of raw material yard shall meet the requirements of the current national standard GB 50406 Code for design of environmental protection of iron and steel industry; the emission limit of particulate matter may be in accordance with the requirements of raw material system given in the current national standards GB 28662 Emission standard of pollutants for sintering and pelletizing of iron and steel and GB 28663 Emission standard of air pollutants for iron smelt industry.
3.0.5 The design of comprehensive utilization of raw material yard resources shall meet the requirements of the current national standard GB 50405 Code for design of comprehensive utilization of iron and steel industry resources.
3.0.6 The fire protection design of the raw material yard shall meet the requirements of the current national standard GB 50414 Standard for fire protection design of iron and steel metallurgy enterprises.
3.0.7 The design of water supply and drainage facilities in raw material yard shall meet the requirements of the current national standard GB 50721 Code for design of water supply & drainage of iron and steel enterprises.
3.0.8 The energy-saving design of raw material yard shall meet the requirements of the current national standard GB 50632 Code for design of energy saving of iron and steel industry.
3.0.9 The daily maximum operation time and the daily maximum operation rate of each system in the raw material yard should be as specified in Table 3.0.9.

3.0.10 As for the operation coefficient of stock yard, the value shall be 0.75 except that the value of blended stock yard shall be 1.0 according to the calculation of one stock.
3.0.11 Audible/visual alarm devices shall be set for some track mobile equipment in raw material yard, and limit switches and stoppers shall be set at both ends of the track.
3.0.12 Ventilation facilities and drainage facilities should be set up in underground structures and underground corridors of the raw material yard, and dusting facilities should be set up in material transfer parts.
3.0.13 The moisture content of materials entering the raw material yard in severe cold area in winter should not be greater than 8%.
3.0.14 When calculating the stock of raw material yard, the recommended value given in Annex A of this standard should be adopted for the characteristics of common bulk material.
