This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 23137-2008 Heat pump water heater for household and similar application, and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 23137-2008.
——Definitions of the terms “inlet water temperature” and “outlet water temperature” are modified (see 3.13 and 3.14; 3.13 and 3.14 of Edition 2008); the term “annual performance factor” is added (see 3.23); and the terms and related definitions of “max pressure of water side” and “cavity of water storage tank” are deleted (see 3.21a) and 3.21e) of Edition 2008);
——The classification based on the control mode of compressor is added, the recommended preferred values of rated capacity and rated heating water capacity of water storage tank of heat pump water heater are modified, and the model designation content is modified (see Clause 4; Clause 4 of Edition 2008);
——The working environment temperature range of heat pump water heater, the operating condition requirements of compressor of heat pump water heater during operation, the waterproof grade requirements of heat pump water heater used in bathroom, the high-temperature heating performance requirements, the heating capacity requirements under automatic defrosting condition, the low-temperature heating capacity requirements, the annual average heating capacity requirements of heat pump, the requirements of annual performance factor of air-source heat pump water heater and noise limit of water-source heat pump water heater are added (see 5.1.1, 5.1.4, 5.2.6, 5.5.5, 5.5.6, 5.5.7, 5.5.8, 5.5.9 and 5.8);
——The requirements of inlet water quality, electromagnetic compatibility, thermal insulation performance and noise limit of air-source heat pump water heater are modified (see 5.1.2, 5.1.3, 5.7.1 and 5.8; 5.1.2, 5.1.3, 5.7.1 and 5.8 of Edition 2008);

Heat pump water heater for household and similar application
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of heat pump water heater for household and similar application (hereinafter referred to as heat pump water heater).
This standard is applicable to heat pump water heater for household and similar application driven by electric motors, adopting vapor compression refrigeration cycle, taking air or water as heat source for providing hot water. This standard may be used as a reference for heat pump water heaters for other heat sources or purposes.
This standard is not applicable to heat pump water heater for industrial purposes.

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

device using vapor compression refrigeration cycle driven by motor to transfer heat from air or water to heated water in order to produce domestic hot water

heat pump water heater with water (including water from wells, lakes, seas or rivers, water circulating in underground coils, and usable water for other purposes) as heat source

4 Product classification
4.1 Classification types
4.1.1 Classified by heat source mode:
a) air-source heat pump water heater;
b) water-source heat pump water heater.
4.1.2 Classified by the types of power source:
a) single-phase power supply (220V/50Hz);
b) three-phase power supply (380V/50Hz);
c) other types of power supply.
4.1.3 Classified by heating mode:
a) instantaneous heat pump water heater;
b) circulating heat pump water heater;
c) static heat pump water heater.
4.1.4 Classified by structural type:
a) packaged heat pump water heater;
b) split-type heat pump water heater.
4.1.5 Classified by the control mode of the compressor:
a) heat pump water heater with constant rotating speed (the rotating speed and capacity are constant), and its code is omitted;
b) heat pump water heater with controllable rotating speed (the rotating speed or capacity is variable), and its code is Bp.
4.2 Preferred value
4.2.1 The recommended preferred values of the rated capacity of the water storage tank of the heat pump water heater are:
80L, 100L, 150L, 200L, 300L and 400L.
4.2.2 The recommended preferred values of rated heating water capacity of the heat pump water heater are:
35L/h, 50L/h, 70L/h, 100L/h, 150L/h, 200L/h, 250L/h and 300L/h.
4.3 Model designation
Example: KFD-BpY70/150A represents an air-source split-type instantaneous heat pump water heater with variable frequency and electric auxiliary heat source, with heating water capacity of 70L/h, with capacity of water storage tank of 150L, and with manufacturer's self-defined number of A.
