1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for physical and chemical performance of garments.
This standard is applicable to the garments produced with textiles as main raw materials.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 3291.2 and GB/T 15557 as well as the following ones apply.
3.1
durable press performance
the capacity of textiles that can meet the appearance smoothness, pleat appearance, seam appearance and dimensional stability required for daily life without being ironed after subjecting to domestic washing and drying
3.2
durable press textiles
textiles that have durable press performance after subjecting to several times of washing and drying circulation
3.3
water vapour transmission rate; WVT
the mass of vapour vertically passing through unit area of fabric in specified time under specified temperature and humidity condition for both sides of fabric, [g/(m2•h)] or [g/(m2•24h)]
3.4
flammability
the capacity of determining the damage condition or flaming combustion of fabric under specified test conditions
3.5
water repellency
the capacity of fabric to resist the absorption of spray water
Note: Water repellency is represented by the wetting degree or the textile soakage at fabric surface within specified under designated water spraying device.
3.6
hydrostatic pressure
the capacity of indicating the capacity of fabric resisting liquid water penetration by the hydrostatic pressure borne by fabric
Note: Hydrostatic pressure can be quantified as the pressure value when one continuously rising water pressure is applied on one side of fabric until the other side has three water seepage points.
