——The application scope of the standard is modified (see Clause 1 hereof; Clause 1 of Edition 2011);
——The normative references are added (see Clause 2 hereof; Clause 2 of Edition 2011);
——Some terms, definitions and symbols are deleted (see Clause 3 hereof; Clause 3 of Edition 2011);
——The test parameter to be measured are added in “Principle” (see Clause 4 hereof; Clause 4 of Edition 2011);
——The special requirements for test operator are deleted (see Clause 5 of Edition 2011);
——The clause “Test conditions” is added (see Clause 5 hereof);
——The "Test system" is modified to "Instruments and equipment”, the contents of which are subdivided, with modified relevant contents in Edition 2011 incorporated in it (see Clause 6 hereof; Clause 6 in Edition 2011);
——The "Test requirements" is modified to "Test procedure", and the treated methods under special case are modified (see Clause 7 hereof; 7.3 of Edition 2011); the "Test preparation" and "Boost rate" are deleted (see 7.1 and 7.2 of Edition 2011);
——The clause "Test data processing" is added (see Clause 8 hereof);
——The "Safety precautions" is modified to "Precautions in test", the contents of which are detailed (see Clause 9 hereof, Clause 10 of Edition 2011);
——The requirements for "Test record and report" are modified (see Clause 10 hereof; Clauses 8 and 9 of Edition 2011).

Method for hydraulic burst test of gas cylinder
1 Scope
This document specifies the methods for hydraulic burst test of gas cylinder and the basic requirements for test devices.
This document is applicable to the hydraulic burst test of gas cylinder with a nominal working pressure not greater than 70 MPa (gauge pressure, the same below).
2 Normative references
The following documents contain requirements which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 13005 and the following apply.
3.1
testing cylinder
gas cylinders to be tested or under test
4 Principle
In the hydraulic burst test of gas cylinder, gradually increase the pressure in the testing cylinder until it bursts at the specified pressurization rate. The yield pressure (when required), hydraulic burst pressure and quantity of water pressed of the testing cylinder shall be tested, the volume deformation value and volume deformation rate of the testing cylinder (when required) shall be calculated, and the crack characteristics and the crack position of the testing cylinder shall be checked.
