1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This Code is formulated with view to make the engineering design of oxygen station technology-advanced, economical & reasonable, comprehensively used, energy-saving and environmental friendly to ensure safety in production.
1.0.2 This Code is applicable to the following constructed, renovated and extended oxygen stations and their pipeline engineering design:
1 The design of oxygen station producing gaseous and liquid products like oxygen, nitrogen and argon by cryogenic air separation method;
2 The design of oxygen station producing gaseous products like oxygen, nitrogen and argon by normal temperature air separation method;
3 The design of gasification station of air separation liquid products like oxygen, nitrogen and argon;
4 The design of manifold room of air separation gaseous products like oxygen, nitrogen and argon;
1.0.3 The type of fire risk and minimum fire resistance rating of each room in oxygen station shall comply with the requirements of Appendix A of this Code.
1.0.4 The design of oxygen station shall not only comply with this Code, but also the relevant current national standards.
