Code for construction and acceptance of degreasing project
1 General
1.0.1 This Code is developed with a view to improving the level of degreasing construction technology, strengthening the quality control in the construction process and ensuring the construction quality and safety.
1.0.2 This Code is applicable to the degreasing of equipment, pipeline/pipeline components, instrument/instrument components and others in the petroleum media system for chemical industry constructions.
1.0.3 This Code is not applicable to the following degreasing:
1 Manufacturing; and
2 Plant down-time maintenance.
1.0.4 The equipment for which the design documents or the user requires to conduct degreasing by the manufacturing shall have a degreasing certificate, it may not be degreased at the installation as long as it is sealed and packed well. However, before installation, it shall be inspected to check if the equipment has dirty or is contaminated by grease. If so, it shall be degreased again.
1.0.5 The degreasing agents to be used shall be provided with quality certificate, and shall meet the requirements of relevant current standards of the state.
1.0.6 The transportation of the degreasing agents shall comply with the relevant provisions of the current national standard GB 50160 Fire prevention code of petrochemical enterprise design and Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals (Order No.591 of the State Council of the People's Republic of China).
1.0.7 In addition to this Code, the work of degreasing projects shall also comply with those specified in current relevant standards of the state.
2 Terms
2.0.1 degreasing
process of removing organic substances such as grease from the surface of an object
2.0.2 grease
general name of glyceride and hydrocarbons produced from a variety of higher fatty acids (stearic acid, soft fatty acid and oleic acid) and glycerol
2.0.3 degreasing agent
substances that are used to remove organic substances such as grease from surfaces of objects
2.0.4 blowing of through-ball
working method to remove foreign matter in a pipeline by using pipeline pigs, in which the pipeline pig is commonly called "ball" or "pig"; degreasing by blowing of through-ball is a method to achieve the purpose of degreasing by pushing the degreasing agent to flow in the pipeline with the help of a pipeline pig running in the pipeline
