1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and requirements of marking, packaging, transportation and storage of town footwear manufactured by various techniques.
This standard is applicable to town footwear for daily wearing.
This standard is not applicable to town footwear (boots) worn by infants and children.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2703-2008 and the following apply. For the convenience of application, some terms and definitions specified in GB/T 2703-2008 are listed below.

4 Classification
4.1 Men's and women's town footwear (boots) according to the wearing objects.
4.2 Town footwear (boots) with upper made from natural leather (top layer leather, split leather of animal such as pig, cattle and sheep), upper made from artificial material (artificial leather, synthetic leather, etc.), and upper made from mixed materials according to the upper materials.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 General requirements
5.1.1 Shoe size shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293.1.
5.1.2 Last size shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293.
5.1.3 The shoe materials shall meet the requirements of corresponding product standards.
5.1.4 The defect which affects wearing shall be avoided.
5.2 Markings
It shall meet the requirements of QB/T 2673-2013.
5.3 Requirements for marking upper material
5.3.1 The marking of upper material shall meet the requirements of 5.1.4 in QB/T 2673-2013.
5.3.2 The marking of upper material shall be consistent with the material used.
