Clothes caring machine
1 Scope
This document specifies the product classification, requirements, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of clothing care machines, provides the corresponding test methods and the relevant terms and definitions concerning clothes caring machine.
This document is applicable to the production, inspection and sales of clothes caring machines (hereinafter referred to as "appliances") used in homes, hotels, dry cleaners and other similar places with single-phase rated voltage not exceeding 250 V.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

clothes caring machine
appliance that can remove wrinkles and odor of clothes in a closed cavity by electric driving, and has one or more functions of bacterial elimination, mite elimination, allergen reduction, drying

wrinkle removal rate
percentage of the number of wrinkles removed after removal to the total number of wrinkles before removal

eliminating bacterial rate
percentage used for expressing the reduction number of microbial number in a bacterial eliminating test

off mode
a continuous mode for the product, in which standby mode, network mode, or active mode is not available when the appliance is connected to the power supply according to the instructions. A mode of the appliance at which the power supply is switched off using a control or switch that is accessible and intended for operation by the user during normal use, with all controls other than the power switch are inoperable
the indicator that prompts the user that the product is in the off position is included in the off mode

standby mode
a continuous mode for the product that provides one or more of the following user-oriented functions or protection functions when connecting to the main power
——Other modes (including on or off of the active mode) can be triggered by triggering remote switches (including remote control), internal sensors, and timers;
——Continuous function: information or status display including clock;
——Continuous function: sensor-based function.

4 Product classification
According to the steam generation mode of the appliances' heating systems, they can be divided into:
a) electrical heating type;
b) heat pump type.
5 Requirements
5.1 Normal operating conditions
The appliances shall operate normally under the following working conditions:
a) ambient temperature: 5 °C to 40 °C;
b) relative humidity: ≤ 95% (at an ambient temperature of 25 °C);
c) power supply compliance: the AC rated voltage is 220 (1 ± 10%) V and the rated frequency is 50 (1 ± 1%) Hz.
5.2 Electrical appliance safety
Electrical appliance safety shall meet the requirements specified in GB 4706.1, GB 4706.60 (applicable when the appliances have electric heating function) and other relevant special requirements.
5.3 Wrinkle removal performance
The wrinkle removal rate shall meet those specified in Table 1.
