This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part is a revision of QB 2806-2006 Thermostatic faucets. In addition to a number of editorial changes, the following technical changes have been made with respect to QB 2806-2006:
——The standard is changed into a voluntary one;
——The requirements on precipitation of metal pollutants from faucets are added;
——The material requirements are modified;
——The clause - “Accessories” is added;
——The requirements for surface quality of rubber parts are deleted;
——The hardness requirements for ceramic valve plate are deleted;
——P type thermostatic faucets are deleted;
——The single handle three control thermostatic faucets are added;
——The temperature of outlet water is changed from 38℃ to 40℃;
——The requirements for surface corrosion resistance are modified;
——The requirements for the safety with hot water failure are added;
This standard was proposed by the China National Light Industry Council.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of Hardware Subcommittee of National Technical Committee on Hardware Products of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC174/SC3).
The previous edition of this standard is as follows:
——QB 2806-2006.
Thermostatic faucets
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and naming, use conditions, materials, accessories, requirements, single handle three control thermostatic faucets, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage for thermostatic faucets.
This standard is applicable to the hot and cold water mixing faucets installed on sanitary fittings in the rest room (toilet, bathroom, etc.) or the kitchen, with general pressure of not more than 0.5MPa, high water pressure of not more than 2MPa, cold water temperature within 4℃~29℃, hot water temperature within 45℃~85℃and the outlet water temperature automatically controlled by the pre-selected temperature.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
thermostatic faucets
a kind of faucets that can automatically adjust the cold and hot water inflow when the inlet water temperature and pressure change within a certain range so that the outlet water temperature is stabilized in a certain range
3.2
single handle, double handle
the number of handles or hand wheels used to control the outlet water temperature, flow, and opening and closing of faucets; single handle refers to using one handle or hand wheel to control the outlet water temperature or together with flow and opening and closing; double handle refers to using two handles or hand wheels to control the outlet water temperature, flow and opening and closing respectively
3.3
single handle double control, single handle three control
single handle double control refers to using one handle or hand wheel to control the outlet water temperature and opening and closing; single handle three control refers to using one handle or hand wheel to control the outlet water temperature, flow and opening and closing
3.4
close the inlet water
the opening and closing of the faucets are realized by opening or closing cold and hot water
3.5
close the outlet water
the opening and closing of the faucets are realized by directly opening and closing the mixed water
3.6
safety with cold water or hot water failure
a function of faucets in case of cold water or hot water failure, the temperature control device reacts quickly to regulate the hot water or cold water supply, so that the outlet water temperature and flow can reach the specified values to avoid scalds or feeling uncomfortable
3.7
mechanical endurance
the number of operation cycles that after a certain number of cycles of outlet water temperature cycle test, the use performance of the faucets still meet the requirements of this standard
3.8
pipeline thermostatic valve
a temperature control device installed on the water supply pipeline to regulate the outlet water temperature
3.9
general pressure thermostatic faucets
thermostatic faucets used at a water pressure of 0.1MPa~0.5MPa
3.10
high pressure thermostatic faucets
thermostatic faucets used at a water pressure of 0.1MPa~2.0MPa
4 Classification and naming
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 Faucets are classified into single handle type and double handle type by the number of control handles.
4.1.2 Faucets are classified into thermostatic ones (hereinafter referred to as T) and constant pressure thermostatic ones (hereinafter referred to as TP) by the temperature control type.
4.1.3 They are classified into shower, bathtub, washing, basin, electric water heater, solar water heater, pipeline valve and so on by usage occasions.
4.1.4 They are classified into exposed ones and concealed ones by installation type.
4.1.5 They are classified into general pressure ones and high pressure ones by working pressure.
4.2 Naming
The name should include the number of control handles, the temperature control type, the usage occasion, installation type, and the working pressure.
Example:
The products with the number of control handles of single handle, the temperature control type of constant pressure thermostatic, the usage occasion of bathtub, the exposed installation type, and the high working pressure can be named as exposed single-handle constant-high-pressure thermostatic bathtub faucets.
5 Use conditions
5.1 Working pressure
5.1.1 General pressure: the water supply pressure is within 0.1MPa~0.5MPa; if it is greater than 0.5MPa, a pressure relief valve shall be installed.
5.1.2 High pressure: the water supply pressure is within 0.1MPa~2.0MPa. The normal working pressure should be 0.3MPa~1.5MPa.
5.2 Medium use temperature
The cold water temperature is 4℃~29℃, and the hot water temperature is 45℃~85℃. The hot water temperature in normal conditions should be 50℃~75℃.
