This standard is a revision of QB/T 1619-2006 Wallet.
In addition to a number of editorial changes, the following technical changes have been made with respect to QB/T 1619-2006:
——The “Scope” is adjusted, with the application scope of this standard extended;
——The requirements and test methods for “Raw material and fittings” are added;
——The “Appearance quality and sewing requirements” are adjusted; the requirements for “Superior products” are deleted;
——The requirements for “Physical and mechanical properties” are adjusted and detailed; the requirements for “Corrosion resistance of hardware fittings” are added;
——The requirements for “Marking” are adjusted;
——The Annex A - “Common Wallets and Schematic Diagrams for Positions” is added;
——The Annex B - “Test Method for Colour Fastness to Rotary Rubbing” is added;
——The Annex C - “Special Type Inspection” is added.
This standard was proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Leather of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 252).
This standard replaces the former light industry standard QB/T 1619-2006 Wallet, which is abolished from the implementation date of this standard.
The previous editions of standard are as follows:

Wallet
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of wallet.
This standard is applicable to various wallets made of materials such as leather, fur, recycled leather, artificial/synthetic leather and textile. This standard may be referred to for cell-phone case.

For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

4 Product Classification
4.1 They are classified into leather wallet, fur wallet, reclaimed leather wallet, artificial/synthetic leather wallet, textile wallet, etc. by surface materials.
4.2 They are classified into frame wallet, suit wallet, purse, documents holders, key case, business card holder, etc. by varieties (see Annex A for common wallets and schematic diagram for positions).
5 Requirements
5.1 Raw material and fittings
They shall be selected in accordance with relevant product standard.
5.1.1 Limit of harmful matters
The limit of harmful matters in leather, fur, reclaimed leather and textile materials shall meet the requirements of Table 1; that in polyvinyl chloride artificial leather shall meet the requirements of GB 21550; that in adhesive for wallets shall meet the requirements of Table 2.
