1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements and methods for the green product assessment of sanitary wares.
This standard is applicable to the green product assessment of sanitary wares, including pedestal pans, squatting pans, urinals and washing basins.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 6952, GB 21252 and GB/T 33761-2017 and the following apply.
3.1 the comprehensive energy consumption for unit product
amount of standard coal converted from energy consumed by unit acceptable product produced during the statistical period
3.2 environmental product declaration, EPD
environmental declaration providing quantified environmental data based on preset parameters, including additional environmental information if necessary
3.3 carbon footprint
parameter used to quantify greenhouse gas emissions from processes, process systems or product systems to express their contribution to climate change
4 Product classification
4.1 Classification by variety
The green sanitary wares are classified, according to the variety, into pedestal pans, squatting pans, urinals and washing basins.
4.2 Classification by structure
The pedestal pans are classified, according to the structure, into integral, split-type and flushing valve-type pedestal pans.
4.3 Classification by flushing mode
The pedestal pans are classified, according to the flushing mode, into dual-flush and single-flush pedestal pans.
5 Assessment requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
5.1.1 Basic requirements for manufacturers
5.1.1.1 Requirements related to energy conservation and environmental protection laws and regulations
The manufacturer shall at least meet the requirements of the following laws and regulations on energy conservation and environmental protection:
——for the manufacturer, the pollutant emission shall meet the requirements of GB 25464 and local pollutant emission standards, and the total amount control of pollutants shall meet the relevant national and local control targets; the manufacturer shall strictly implement relevant national standards of energy conservation and environmental protection and provide a list of standards, and have no major quality, safety and environmental accidents in the past three years;
——the safety production standardization level of the manufacturer shall meet the requirements of Grade III or above as stipulated in Standard for safety production standardization evaluation of building sanitary ceramics enterprises;
——the manufacturer shall be equipped with energy measuring instruments in accordance with GB 17167 and GB/T 24851, and water measuring instruments in accordance with GB 24789;
——the noise emission of the manufacturer shall meet the requirements of GB 12348;
——the enterprises shall carry out sustainable procurement and green supply chain management according to the requirements of GB/T 33635.
5.1.1.2 Requirements related to technology
The manufacturer shall at least meet the following technical requirements:
——the manufacturer shall use clean energy such as natural gas for firing kilns;
——the manufacturer shall adopt advanced technologies and processes encouraged by the State other than technologies, technological equipment and related substances that have been eliminated or banned by the State or relevant departments.
5.1.1.3 Requirements related to management system
The manufacturer shall establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve the quality management system, environmental management system, energy management system and occupational health and safety management system according to GB/T 19001, GB/T 24001, GB/T 23331 and GB/T 28001 respectively.
5.1.2 Basic product requirements
The basic performance of products shall meet the requirements of current national or professional standards, such as GB/T 6952, GB/T 31436, GB 25502, GB 30717 and GB 28377. The performance of accessories shall meet the requirements of GB/T 26730, GB/T 26750, GB/T 23448, JC/T 764 and JC/T 932.
5.2 Requirements of assessment indicator
The indicator system consists of first-class indicators and second-class indicators. The first-class indicators include those of resource, energy, environment and quality attributes. The assessment indicators of green sanitary wares shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 1.
