3 Product classification and labeling
3.1 Product classification
According to use object, the product is classified into adult (ordinary, concentrated) type and children (ordinary, concentrated) type.
3.2 Product labeling
See Table 1 for product labeling method.
Table 1 Product Labeling Method
Product type Adult Children
Ordinary type Concentrated type Ordinary type Concentrated type
Labeling method GB/T 34857-2017 GB/T 34857-2017 (concentrated type) GB/T 34857-2017 (children type) GB/T 34857-2017 (concentrated children type)
Note: the standard year number may be omitted in the label. Those not marked with year number are required to implement the current effective standards; the product markings implemented according to other standards are labeled according to the standards implemented. Products that are described as possessing concentration characteristics in the name or directions for use are concentrated type (such as being described by concentrated, highly-concentrated, enriched, etc.), otherwise they are ordinary type.
4 Requirements
4.1 Raw material requirements
The adopted raw material shall meet the relevant requirements for Class B products in GB/T 26396.
4.2 Sensory and physical & chemical indexes
The sensory and physical & chemical indexes of products shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 2.
Table 2 Sensory and Physical & Chemical Indexes
Item Adult Children
Ordinary type Concentrated type Ordinary type Concentrated type
Sensory indexes Appearance Liquid or paste products are not delaminated, without significant suspension (except for products with uniform suspended particle components) or precipitation; block products are uniform in color, smooth and fine, without obvious mechanical impurities and stains
Odor No peculiar smell
Physical & chemical indexes Stabilitya Heat resistance: (40±2)℃, 24h After recovering to room temperature, it’s found through observation that there is no delamination, precipitation, peculiar smell and discoloration, and transparent products are not turbid
Cold resistance: (-5±2)℃, 24h After recovering to room temperature, it’s found through observation that there is no delamination, precipitation and discoloration, and transparent products are not turbid

pHb(25℃) 4.0~10.0 4.0~8.5
Formaldehyde/(mg/kg) ≤ 500
a Only liquid or paste products need to be subject to stability test, and the product is required to recover to room temperature without significant changes compared with the one before test.
b pH test concentration: liquid or paste product 1:10 (mass ratio), solid product 1:20 (mass ratio).
4.3 Hygienic requirements
The limit requirements for microbiological indexes of products (total number of colonies, total mold and yeast, heat-resistant coliform, staphylococcus aureus and pseudomonas aeruginosa), harmful substances (hydrargyrum, lead, arsenic, cadmium, methanol and dioxane) shall be in accordance with Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (Edition 2015).
5 Test methods
Unless otherwise specified, only reagents recognized analytically pure and Class-III water or above specified in GB/T 6682 are used for the analysis.
