4.1 Symbols specified in this standard and their corresponding descriptions are shown in Table 1.
Table 1 Symbols and descriptions
Symbol Unit Description
P W/kg Specific total loss a
P1.0/400 W/kg Specific total loss measured at a magnetic polarization of 1.0T and a frequency of 400Hz
H A/m Magnetic field intensity
J T Magnetic polarization intensity
J5000 T Magnetic polarization intensity at a magnetic field intensity (H) of 5,000 A/m (in peak value)

μ0 H/m Take 4π×10-7 for magnetic conductivity in vacuum
a It is often referred to as iron loss.
4.2 Designation of the steel strip (sheet) consists of the following three parts:
a) 100 times of the nominal thickness of the material, mm.
b) type code:
WD——the ordinary non-oriented electrical steel strips (sheets) for electric vehicles;
WDG——the high magnetic induction non-oriented electrical steel strips (sheets) for electric vehicles.
c) 100 times of the specific total loss P1.0/400 (in W/kg) measured at a magnetic polarization intensity of 1.0 T and a frequency of 400 Hz.
Example:
35WD1900 refers to an ordinary non-oriented electrical steel strip (sheet) for electric vehicles, with a nominal thickness of 0.35mm and a maximum specific total loss P1.0/400 of 19.0 W/kg.
5 General requirements
General requirements shall be consistent with those specified in the general requirements of GB/T 2521.1-2016.
6 Technical requirements
6.1 Magnetic properties

a Magnetic induction intensity has been used for many years, but in fact, it is magnetic polarization intensity that the Epstein frame actually measures.
The relationship between the magnetic induction intensity and the magnetic polarization intensity is: J=B-μ0H

6.2.1 Thickness and deviation
6.2.1.1 Nominal thickness
The nominal thicknesses of the steel strip (sheet) are 0.20mm, 0.27mm, 0.30mm and 0.35mm.
6.2.1.2 Thickness deviation
