3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 21551.1, GB/T 7725 and the following apply.
3.1
self-cleaning
process of removing or reducing microorganisms from the interior of an air conditioner's indoor unit (positions such as filters, evaporators, fans, air guide vanes, etc.) using physical or chemical methods such as UV lamps and negative ions
3.2
self-cleaning rate
percentage used for expressing reduction in the number of microorganisms in the self-cleaning test
3.3
indoor air cleaning
process of significantly reducing the concentration of particulate matter or gaseous pollutants, e.g., formaldehyde, benzene and TVOC, in the air by self circulating of the air indoors, using certain techniques or methods
3.4
clean air delivery rate; CADR
Q
parameter of the capacity of an air conditioner with indoor air cleaning function for cleaning target pollutants (particulate matter or gaseous pollutants) under specified conditions, which indicates the rate at which the air conditioner provides clean air

3.5
cumulate clean mass; CCM
parameter of the cumulative capacity of an air conditioner with indoor air cleaning function for cleaning target pollutants (particulate matter or gaseous pollutants) under specified conditions, which indicates the total mass of target pollutants that are cleaned cumulatively as the clean air delivery rate of the air conditioner is attenuated to 50% of its initial value
