1 Scope
This standard specifies the limits and methods of testing for immunity of electrical/electronic sub-assemblies (ESA) in vehicle to electromagnetic radiation.
This standard is applicable to electrical/electronic sub-assemblies in vehicle.
2 Normative References
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard. At time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All the standards will be revised, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest editions of the following standards are applicable.
GB/T 4365—1995 Terminology for Electromagnetic Compatibility
GB/T 6113.1—1995 Specifications for Radio Disturbance and Immunity Measuring Apparatus
3 Definition
This standard adopts the following definitions.
3.1 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
It refers to the capability of the equipment or system which can work normally in electromagnetic environment and will not impose any unbearable electromagnetic disturbance on anything in this environment.
3.2 Electromagnetic disturbance
It refers to any electromagnetic phenomenon which may cause the performance reduction of the device, equipment or system or generate damaged function on the lived or lifeless substances. The electromagnetic disturbance may be electromagnetic noise, garbage signal or personal variation of transmission vehicle.
3.3 Immunity (to a disturbance)
It refers to the ability of a device, equipment or system to perform without degradation in the presence of an electromagnetic disturbance.
3.4 Electromagnetic environment
It refers to the sum of all the electromagnetic phenomena in the given place.
3.5 Immunity limit
It refers to the specified minimum immunity level.
3.6 Reference antenna
In 20MHz~80MHz, it refers to the short-balanced dipole antenna of semiwave resonance dipole at 80MHz; above 80MHz, the balanced semiwave resonance dipole tuning to measuring frequency.
3.7 Shielded enclosure
It refers to the screen or integral metal sealing room designed specially for the electromagnetic environment inside and outside the isolation room. The purpose is to prevent outdoor electromagnetic field interfering indoor environment and the all kinds of outdoor electromagnetic activity producing the interference emission.
3.8 Semi-anechoic chamber
It refers to the shielded enclosure which is equipped with anechoic material in the inner surface beyond the floor.
3.9 Electrical/electronic sub-assembly
It refers to the electrical/electronic equipment or group used for realizing one or more specific functions, including electrical connector and lead wire. ESA may be inspected as required by the manufacturer as "spare parts" or "separate technical unit (STU)".
3.10 ESA type
ESA type relevant to electromagnetic compatibility shall be free from essential difference in the aspects below:
a) ESA completion function;
b) Routine arrangement of electrical/electronic spare parts.
4 Immunity Limit
The test shall be carried out according to the testing methods described in this standard and the immunity level specified in Table 1 and ESA is capable of working normally under normal operating conditions. The field strength shall be expressed in V/m and the injection current in mA.
