1 Subject Contents and Application Scope
This standard specifies the basic principles, broad contents and compilation requirements of the compilation of industrial product guarantee documents.
This standard is applicable to manufacturers formulating the domestic industrial product guarantee documents.
2 Terms
2.1 Product guarantee documents
The generic term of technical documents on such information as product quality certificate and service guarantee that are provided to the product distributors and users by the product manufacturer.
2.2 Product quality guarantee
The technical document on product safety, reliability, performance parameter and other quality conditions provided by the product manufacturer
2.3 Certificate of product inspection
A kind of certificate provided by the product manufacturer to prove that the products have passed the delivery inspection and their quality meet the standard and relevant regulations.
2.4 Certificate of product replacement
A certificate provided by the product manufacturer to take back or exchange the products under certain conditions.
2.5 Product guarantee
A certificate provided by the product manufacturer to be responsible for repairing the products under certain conditions.
2.6 Product prestige card
A certificate provided by the product manufacturer on such commitment and credibility information of product quality.
3 Basic Principles
3.1 The delivered products must be provided with the corresponding product guarantee documents.
3.2 The product guarantee documents are:
a. Product quality guarantee;
b. Certificate of product inspection;
c. Certificate of product replacement;
d. Product guarantee;
e. Product prestige card.
3.3The product manufacturer provide certain aforementioned kinds of product guarantee documents according to those specified in the relevant regulations and standards as well as the product conditions and the requirements of contract.
The contents covered by the product guarantee documents must be consistent with the provided products.
3.4 Generally, the product manufacturer shall provide the product quality guarantee and the certificate of product inspection; however, it may only provide only one kind of document for certain products.
3.5 In principle, one product shall be provided with one set of product guarantee documents, however, the scattered articles and petty commodities may be provided with several sets of product guarantee documents to the distributors by adopting packages as unit. Provide that scattered articles and petty commodities that are not enough as one packing unit, the product guarantee documents shall not be offered to the consumers or users.
3.6 The product guarantee documents may be used as the evidence by the product manufacturer and the distributors, consumers or users to handle the product quality and other related disputes.
