1.0.1 This code was formulated with the view to implementing the national relevant regulations, principles and policies, unifying technical requirements, realizing advanced technology, economic rationality, safety and usability and guaranteeing quality in gas transmission pipeline engineering design.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design of onshore constructed, extended and renovated gas transmission pipeline engineering.
1.0.3 Gas transmission pipeline engineering shall be designed according to the following requirements:
1 Environmental protection, energy conservation, land conservation, and the relationship with railway, highway, transmission line, river, urban and rural planning well treated;
2 Active application of new technology, process, equipment and materials;
3 Optimization of design scheme, and determination of economic and reasonable gas transmission process and the optimal parameters;
4 Reasonable application of the original facilities and conditions in the expansion project;
5 Overall design for staged project and establishment of phased implementation plan.
1.0.4 The design of gas transmission pipeline engineering shall not only meet the requirements stipulated in this code, but shall also comply with those stipulated in the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terminologies
2.0.1 Pipeline gas
Natural gas, coalbed gas and coal-based natural gas transmitted via pipeline
2.0.2 Gas transmission pipeline project
Natural gas, coalbed gas and coal-based natural gas pipeline transmission engineering. It generally includes gas transmission pipeline, gas transmission station, pipeline passing (crossing) and auxiliary production facilities, etc.
2.0.3 Gas transmission station
A generic term for varied process stations in gas transmission pipeline engineering. It generally includes gas transmission initial station, gas transmission terminal station, compressor station, gas receiving station, gas distributing station and pigging station, etc.
2.0.4 Gas transmission initial station
The origin station of gas transmission pipeline. It generally has such functions as separation, voltage regulation, metering and pigging.
2.0.5 Gas transmission terminal station
Terminal station of gas transmission pipeline. It generally has such functions as separation, voltage regulation, metering, pigging and distribution.
2.0.6 Gas receiving station
A station set along the gas transmission pipeline for receiving gas from gas transmission branch lines, generally with such functions as separation, voltage regulation, metering and pigging.
2.0.7 Gas distributing station
A station set along the gas transmission pipeline for distributing gas to users, generally with such functions as separation, voltage regulation, metering and pigging.
2.0.8 Compressor station
A station set along the gas transmission pipeline that uses a compressor to pressurize pipeline gas.
